THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT: Danny Trejo Shares Fun Behind The Scenes Look At His Enigmatic Rancor Keeper

Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez enlisted Danny Trejo for a fun cameo role in last Wednesday's episode of The Book of Boba Fett, and the actor has now shared a behind the scenes look at his character.

In last Wednesday's episode of The Book of Boba Fett, director Robert Rodriguez reunited with an actor who's become synonymous with his career: Danny Trejo. The actor took on a role that shouldn't surprise fans, playing the strong, silent type with an apparent soft side as a Rancor keeper who is now set to train Lord Fett's newest acquisition (so he can ride him into battle).

We wouldn't be surprised if the unnamed character gets his own poster later today, but for now, Trejo has taken to Twitter to share a behind-the-scenes look at his Star Wars debut.

As for that Rancor, we're definitely excited to see what sort of impact it makes in the Disney+ series. Another of the beasts appeared in Return of the Jedi, but was ultimately felled by Luke Skywalker. In that movie, George Lucas considered putting an actor in a suit before realising it wouldn't work; a puppet was then used, and it seems The Book of Boba Fett is also keeping things practical.

However, when Fett does ride his new Rancor, we're guessing some visual effects will be utilized!

With only four episodes left, it's going to be interesting to see where The Book of Boba Fett takes us, particularly after this latest instalment moved the story along - both in the past and present - quite a bit quicker than we expected. It's also unclear who is taking aim at the former bounty hunter.

Check out Trejo's behind the scenes photo from the show below:

@Se4M4NSt4ine - yeah. Would not want to be on his bad side. Dude is a legit beast.

@SauronthePower - oh I'm not doubting his credentials at all. He's just always been framed as a big guy in his films. I remember serving Tem when he came into my work when I was living in Auckland for a coupla years back in the late 90s and I was surprised how short he was then. Really nice guy, though - typical kiwi celebrity in that he's just an everyday dude.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - I recently heard that story a couple months ago in a fantastic long interview with him. He's a fascinating supercool man and this interview was awesome.

@WarMonkey - And on a unrelated note that interview reminds me of another awesome one they did earlier last year that any fan of "Stand and Deliver" should check out.

Really show would be a lot more interesting if it was about his time with the Tusken Raiders, show him building himself back up and gaining their trust. If there were a second season maybe turn it into a revenge story

I really wanted a Boba Fett movie/show for as long as I can remember… this show so far has made me wish we never got either and just kept the ambiguity of the character a mystery, so far.

really hoping this show kicks up a gear soon. disappointing thus far, wondering if the quality of the Mandalorian has actually made this seem worse than it actually is though?
