We're literally just a few days away from the season two finale of The Mandalorian, and Empire Magazine has shared a couple of very cool covers for their upcoming issue.

It's unclear what they'll be able to reveal about the Disney+ series with this second batch of episodes nearly at an end, but it sounds like there may be some exclusive details inside about the future of the Star Wars franchise. As you can see below, the first cover - illustrated by Paul Shipper - shows Din Djarin, Ahsoka Tano, and Grogu teaming up with the Razor Crest in the background.

The second, meanwhile, was illustrated by Sam Gilbey. That revisits one of The Mandalorian's funniest moments as Grogu's love of cookies gets the better of him after a rough ride in the Razor Crest.

We have no real idea what to expect from Friday's final episode (there's currently no word on the title or runtime), but it's bound to be a big one now the stage has been set for Din to square off with Moff Gideon. With Grogu's life, and possibly the fate of the Galaxy depending on what Gideon is up to, on the line, we can safely say that "Chapter 16" will be well worth keeping an eye on.

The scrapyard we visited at the start of the episode was full of Imperial TIE Fighters, AT-STs, and more. Clearly, we're looking at the remnants of Palpatine's forces following the Galactic Civil War.

One of the coolest reveals in last week's episode of The Mandalorian was the fact that Mayfeld was part of Operation Cinder. You'll be familiar with that if you've play Star Wars Battlefront 2, though.

It appears this chase sequence was originally going to take place on a hillside, and that certainly would have upped the stakes. However, it also would have been a logistical nightmare to shoot.

Seeing Cara Dune and Fennec Shand fighting side-by-side was awesome, though it is a shame we never got to see them in a setting like this, gunning down the Stormtroopers around them.

Din Djarin used Moff Gideon's words against him in that final scene, and the stage has now been set for an epic confrontation. Something tells us that Beskar spear will come in handy against the Darksaber...

Oh yeah forgot about the spear. Would've like it more if it was a Beskar katana, which in my opinion would probably be way more practical anyway

I wonder what is that project Taika is working on?

They said it was a movie and it would start shooting next year (which sounds more like a tv series, now).

If you told me a year ago that Empire would publish a cover with a child vomiting on their company's logo, I would have wondered why you would tell me that.

Am I the only one who feels the spear is too... elegant, a weapon for Din? It just doesn't seem to fit his style visually or practically, since he's depicted as being sort of a mini tank.

I can't wait for him to fight with it against the darksaber, but imagining him using it makes me chuckle.
