THE MANDALORIAN Season 3 Returns To Disney+ Next March; New Still Features Din Djarin And Grogu

While it had previously been reported that The Mandalorian season 3 would arrive on Disney+ sometime in February, it's now been confirmed (via SFFGazette.com) that the series premiere drops March 1, 2023!

This news is sure to be welcomed by fans eager to return to this corner of the Galaxy Far, Far Away, and assuming we're getting eight more chapters, these episodes will take us right through to the end of April. Season 2 wrapped up back in December 2020, though Din Djarin and Grogu both returned in The Book of Boba Fett, stealing the show from the title character.

Reunited after a brief separation, the duo's hunt for a Jedi has reached its end. Now, we expect the focus to shift to Mandalore as Din - the rightful wielder of the Darksaber - likely finds himself tasked with retaking his people's planet.

If the first two seasons proved anything, it's that we can expect some huge surprises, and we do hope that more of Grogu's past will be explored (including who saved him in the Jedi Temple). We're also keen to learn what cloning operation Moff Gideon was working on, why he needed The Child for his mystery plan, and whether that all ties into Supreme Leader Snoke's creation.

We'll see, but 2023 looks set to be another exciting year for Star Wars on the small screen as we're also getting Ahsoka and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, two more shows set in this post-Return of the Jedi era.

With the news of a March 1 premiere dates comes a brand new still from The Mandalorian's third season, putting the spotlight on Din and Grogu in the former's repurposed Naboo Starfighter.

It sure is great to see them together again, eh?

Boba fett show shouldn’t have happened, his story should have just been a side plot in mando

I saw the thumbnail and I won't lie to myself, I immediately felt tired of Din and Grogu's dynamic.

The MCU did a good thing of having Groot always at a different age in every of his film appearances, which helped to keep things feeling a bit fresh. Grogu's still just a cute baby and Din is just his protective and gruff dad.

I hope this season can do something different with them. Book of Boba Fett really pulled a lot of excitement I had out of this season.

Avatar 2, Ant-Man, Mando, GOTG 3, Indy 5… Disney’s got some big months ahead.

Grogu should be left off season 3 and perhaps return in season 4.

All the trouble Mando had in S2 was for NOTHING.

BoBF was bad even at that.

Kinda expected it to premiere a few weeks later, given that Bad Batch probably has it's finale premiere somewhere in March as well

This is the way.

I'm kinda interested to see how they explain the Grogu status quo to those of us that didn't watch Boba haha. I know the gist from being an online nerd but strictly speaking the last time i saw these two Mando left him with Luke.

Grogu needs to look different so more toys can be sold.
