Grant Morrison (Batman, X-Men) and Darick Robertson's (Transmetroplitan) 4-issue series originally published by Image Comics is a weird one--even by Morrison's standards. The story follows ex-cop-turned-hitman Nick Sax who, after botching a job, begins to see a little blue flying horse named Happy. Even stranger than that, perhaps, is that the mini-series is becoming a television show on the SYFY Network.
Originally planned for a November 29th premiere, the network has moved it back one week to December 6th at 10/9c.
The TV series will star Christopher Meloni of Law and Order: SVU fame as Sax and Patton Oswalt (King of Queens) as the voice of the titular Happy. The pilot was co-written by Morrison himself and executive producer Brian Taylor (Crank, Gamer), who directed the episode. Meloni will also executive produce the show alongside Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Toby Jaffi, and Patrick Macmanus.

HAPPY:
HAPPY! is based on New York Times best-selling author Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson's graphic novel of the same name. The series follows Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni, Law and Order: SVU)--an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hitman--who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse named Happy (Patton Oswalt).
