Sorry, Jack, Chucky's back... and he's brought more than a few friends with him this time!

SyFy (via IGN) has released a full trailer for the upcoming second season of Chucky, and it features plenty of insane new footage as the demented doll continues his attempt to take over the world (well, the US for starters) with the help of multiple malevolent Good Guys.

Things got more than a little messy in the season 1 finale with the arrival of the original Tiffany, who hijacked Andy Barclay's truck when he was on his way to dispose of the dormant dolls. Here, we see that things are set to get even more complicated with the return of Glen and Glenda (played by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina alum Lachlan Watson).

Check out the trailer below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think.

A new season 2 synopsis reads: "After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy."

New cast members include Meg Tilly (Psycho 2, Body Snatchers), Gina Gershon (Bound, Killer Joe), Joe Pantoliano (Memento), Tony Nappo (Saw II), and Sutton Stracke (Real Housewives).

Brad Dourif will return as the voice of Chucky, and it was recently confirmed that Fiona Dourif will also be back as Nica... or what's left of her, at least. They join Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Björgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

Are you looking forward to more Chucky? How do you see the story developing? Drop us a comment down below.

I’ve never watched a single piece of Chucky media.

Tell me friends, and tell it true: Have I missed out ?

@HagridsHole1 - If you like camp, yes. If not, no.

@HagridsHole1 - R2M is correct but let’s just say it gets vampier as it goes, as with most slashers. The first 3 are the best, in order 1,2,3, but I will say something for Bride of Chucky: yes super campy, but revitalized the franchise. Of course they ruined it later. So I personally DEFINITELY recommend Child’s Play, which put the fear of dolls into kids and grownups alike, and I enjoyed the next 3, part 3 was a favorite because of the… I don’t want to ruin the backdrop, but it was really great. As a kid I loved 2. I’ll just say it: the cute babysitter. Heck I’m too old for her now but what’s weird is, she’s still really older than me haha, just got Peter Panned by tv is all

@HagridsHole1 - I love them, Bride and Seed included. While not bad, Curse and Cult suffered from low budgets, but the show still follows the continuity and improves the quality over all. I’m not gonna lie, some of the acting in the Chucky show is not great, but I think the show is better than the sum of its parts. This trailer got me really excited for season 2. This spooky season, find them, watch them. Over all, I would say one of the strongest long-running horror franchises out there, when you compare to some of the Nightmare, Chainsaw, Halloween, Friday, Hellraiser, etc entires in their franchises.

Guess it helps to read the article.

Anyway, SyFy has such a bad rep yet manages to consistently put out some of the best crazy shows. Happy! Krypton, Resident Alien, Z Nation. A true nonsense paradise.

Can't freaking wait! This was one of the best shows last year, and definitely best horror show. What an absolute blast each week was, with a great cast of new and old characters. Can't wait to see the next season!

This franchise and Halloween truly the only slasher franchises alive and well. Loved the first season and i can't wait to watch the new one.

Also i love Devon Sawa showing up as different characters just because the fans love him SO much

@Saga - I would also add that Jason is alive and well, but only through the dedicated efforts of Womp Stomp Films with their Never Hike Alone series.

@TheWalkingCuban - have you not seen the any of the Never Hike Alone films? If not, watch the Ghost Cut, which combines Never Hike in the Snow, a short music video they made, and Never Hike Alone, along with some extra scenes stemming from the original Ft13 film. Womp Stomp has done an incredible job.

I should add that the Never Hike Alone series pretty much takes place after Part 8 (Jason Takes Manhattan), though its a direct sequel to Part 6 (Jason Lives).

@HeavyMetal4Life - cool
My main site for torrent streaming is now blocked on my phone, I hate when that happens. Now I have to find another one, so I can watch stuff on these boring night shifts whenever I’m not sleeping or x-raying anyway

TheWalkingCuban
TheWalkingCuban - 9/16/2022, 4:29 AM
@Santanaonfire - recommend one for me, and do they cost anything?
Santanaonfire
Santanaonfire - 9/16/2022, 7:55 AM
@TheWalkingCuban - Unfortunately, they typically do. I use Express VPN. You could probably suss out a promo code, but outside of that, it’s $12.99 month to month, or if you pay for a year up front it’s about $120 for the year, which comes out to $10 a month. But it might be worth checking out during a free trial period, or search around and see if there are others that might be less or possibly free.

As a major horror fan, I have never once watched this show because it looks terrible. The Chucky franchise got more stupid as time went on. @HagridsHole1 the only “good” one of the bunch is the original, Child’s Play. The sequels were stupid, but The Curse of Chucky which was darker than the other sequels was pretty decent and worthwhile. The reboot was ruined by the fact that they made it a malfunctioning smart-toy.

@Saga I disagree, as Scream has consistently been good and The Strangers films are really good (original GREAT, sequel good)… can’t wait for the new trilogy of films 🤞🏻. Skipped seeing the new Candyman after hearing lame retcons to the series
Santanaonfire
Santanaonfire - 9/16/2022, 4:15 AM
@ImBatman4realz - Give it a try. I really feel it’s a return to form. What do you have to lose, outside a few bucks for a franchise you once loved?
ImBatman4realz
ImBatman4realz - 9/16/2022, 9:19 AM
@Santanaonfire - it looks terrible to me, so I’ll skip it. But, did you see the new Candyman? That one I’m always curious to watch despite the cruddy retcons
Santanaonfire
Santanaonfire - 9/16/2022, 12:28 PM
@ImBatman4realz - I quite liked it. It plays more like a semi-sequel than a remake. Some felt it was too “woke”, but I appreciated what they did with it and think woke accusations were exaggerated.
Santanaonfire
Santanaonfire - 9/16/2022, 12:30 PM
@ImBatman4realz - also, one last effort to persuade you to give Chucky a chance, and I’d have to double check it’s still the case, but at least when season one aired, you could watch the first 3 episodes for free on SyFy.com

I am not a Chucky fan but I'm happy for Chucky fans. I'm a Jason Vorhees fan and it's a shame the Friday the 13th franchise was tangled in that rights lawsuit. It derailed plans for a reboot.

Santanaonfire - 9/16/2022, 4:18 AM
Left a bunch of comments, and if you can’t tell, I AM HYPED. It’s pretty solid, gory, and a nice return to form for Chucky. Forget the remake, this is where it’s at. No disrespect to Hamill, but Dourif is here and he IS Chucky.
