MEMORIES FROM ANOTHER TIME - When the past comes back to haunt her, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is forced to face her problems head on. After a night out at the annual Whitmore Medical Center Fundraiser, Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) opens up to Alaric (Matt Davis) about her own tragic past. Meanwhile, Stefan (Paul Wesley), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) resort to extreme measures when Tripp (guest star Colin Ferguson) withholds information about his vampire-killing operation, and Caroline (Candice Accola) is in a race against the clock when Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) gets caught in the middle of a dangerous plan. Elsewhere, Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) grow closer, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) stumbles upon a startling clue that renews his hope. Kat Graham also stars. Darren Genet directed the episode written by Rebecca Sonnenshine (#607).

After a big time jump, the premiere opens with Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) still gone. While their whereabouts will be revealed quickly, the question of what happened while they were there will be a season-long arc. Elena (Nina Dobrev) will be grieving over the loss of Damon by making some surprising choices and bonding with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Alaric (Matt Davis), who does some bonding of his own with a woman he meets. Get ready for a handful of new faces, including a militia leader (Colin Ferguson) and a tough doctor at the university hospital (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe). Matt (Zach Roerig) will be thriving as he gets involved in the new magic-less community, while Tyler (Michael Trevino), now back to a human with the werewolf gene, will return to his testosterone-filled, hard-headed personality. Will he reconnect with Caroline (Candice Accola), whom executive producer Julie Plec says will take the loss of Bonnie and Damon "in a weird way the hardest"?

Yes,it's a comic published by DC

@Mercwithham0uth

I think people write off this show because it hits close to awful movies like Twilight and it is being promoted such as.While there is romance,the show it's so much more.I was pleasantly suprised when i saw season 1 and the next 2 season where trully enjoyable and while S4&5 where awful i think now,with S6,the show has returned back to its good ol days.

@mgeoff88

I think the show has played with this one.It was in a flashback scene in a time that the vampires were not in town and the protagonist says "It's Mystic fall...nothing bad ever happens here"(among the lines) and the other protagonist looks at her funny because he is aware of the twons horrible history and that he is there to cause death.It was quite ironic really.

...And now i have to go punch a wall because i know to much about a CW show.
