VENOM: Tom Hardy Says 40 Minutes Of His Favorite Scenes Ended Up Being Cut From The Movie

It sounds like an extended version of Venom could be on the horizon (or at least a lot of deleted scenes) because star Tom Hardy has revealed just how much footage has ended up on the cutting room floor...

Venom hits many international locations on Wednesday before swinging into North America on Friday, and now Tom Hardy has revealed that Sony ended up cutting around 40 minutes of his favourite scenes...and they sound pretty bizarre!

During a recent interview, the British actor was asked about his favourite moment in the Marvel adaptation and surprisingly replied, "Things that aren’t in this movie."

"There are like 30 to 40 minutes worth of scenes that aren’t in this movie… all of them. Mad puppeteering scenes, dark comedy scenes. You know what I mean? They just never made it in." We saw Hardy acting weirdly on the set of the movie, so perhaps that's what ended up on the cutting room floor. Dialling back the comedy is no bad thing, especially as it doesn't really fit into Venom's world.

The Blu-ray will no doubt end up being packed full of deleted scenes in that case and Sony is known for putting out extended cuts so that's a possibility too. Either way, with Venom just days away, we'll find out a whole lot more about it soon as its tone is something of a mystery right now, especially as the embargo doesn't lift until Wednesday and we've seen no Tweet reactions. As always, stay tuned.
