VENOM's Mid-Credits Scene Has Leaked Online - SPOILERS

With Venom now playing in theaters, the movie's mid-credits scene has inevitably leaked online and if you want to watch it all over again or are just curious about what to expect, you can watch it here...

Like pretty much every comic book movie these days, Venom features a mid-credits scene. Inevitably, that's leaked online and can be watched below (you'll have to be quick, though, as Sony is likely to take it down as soon as possible).

Featuring Eddie Brock visiting San Quentin Prison, it shows the intrepid journalist meeting with the psychotic Cletus Kasidy who promises that "carnage" is on the horizon.

He's not talking about his future symbiote, however. Instead, the serial killer is referencing what will happen when he finally manages to escape from prison but common sense says that he will have some help from Venom's offspring. It's hard to say what the villain will bring to the table that's new beyond a desire to kill, though, especially as Riot actually had pretty much all of Carnage's violent abilities.

Regardless, this scene is definitely included for the fans and it will be interesting seeing if it ever pays off, especially as Venom has received mostly negative reviews. Like Suicide Squad, though, there's nothing to say that those will stop it from becoming a box office hit and spawning a follow-up.

What do you guys think about Venom's after-credits scene? Be sure to let us know your thoughts below.

@DeadWade213 - They already waste that shot in the boring Venom vs Riot end battle.

The wig was terrible, but that was really the only terrible movie from the whole movie. Quite enjoyed it actually. The worst part of the movie might be Sony’s marketing. Since they spoiled almost everything beforehand, I fear they might spoil spidey’s resurrection in Far From Home’s marketing (if that starts prior A4)

I'd rather they'd just use Woody's regular bald head, rather than this Ronald McDonald wig from the thrift store.

Not everything need to be comic accurate to a tee.

Honestly, the wig doesn't bother me, but (I know people love him, so I'm already expecting tomatoes and cabbages being thrown at my head for saying it) Harrelson is just miscast, and more specifically very miscast for this kind of Kasady.

If they did like a really dark Slingblade-esque Kasady, okay Harrelson can make that work. But this is Woody phoning in a cliche. (And no, hanging a lampshade on the cliche doesn't mean the cliche isn't cliche anymore.) The eerie quiet creepy serial killer shtick is the absolute minimal effort version of Cletus Kasady.

On top of that... yeah, it's the most standard "next-time" teaser of all time.

@Spock0Clock - Spoiler alert. He does not get out, he gets the chair and dies. The end.

@Spock0Clock - well his role in Natural Born Killers was essentially his audition lol I think he could be perfect, I enjoyed this scene up until that weird smile at the end.

*Already walking out the theatre, quickly look back and get a glimpse of Woody

Bradley Cooper voice: "Is f*cking Carrot Top behind me?"

Same way I reacted to all the other trailers and clips:

Very much one of those hint hint, nudge nudge teasers. Most of these are just that anyway so not complaining about that.

Woody didn't sell the creepy serial killer thing from what I've seen here though.

He looks goofy as heck, and contextually I’m sure it has no relevance to the film, but I like the scene for the most part. Fun to watch.

My Thursday night viewing of Venom was probably the most fun I’ve ever had watching a movie in the theater.

At first I thought it was unintentionally funny, but it quickly became a deconstruction of the whole genre. It amplifies tired tropes of super hero movies and plays them exquisitely against a completely batshit protagonist.

I can’t stand the Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I want this movie to be the comic book movie equivalent of that film. I want to memorize every line and recite them with a bunch of other people similarly eager to embrace the gorgeous glorious wonder of it.
