In the strategy video game which was released in 2005, states secede from the U.S. and form their own governments that wage a civil war against each other after Washington, D.C., is wiped out in a nuclear blast and chaos ravages the nation. Game players control one of the warring group of states which are; the California Commonwealth, Republic of Texas and New England Alliance are 3 of the 6 or a European peacekeeping unit sent to reunify America.

Straczynski, martial-arts movie "Ninja Assassin" is out November 25th via Warner Brothers, and he is also penning a "Silver Surfer" feature at Fox plus a "Forbidden Planet" reboot at Warner Brothers too, so he's pretty busy.

Mike Stenson (Pirates Of The Caribbean) and Chad Oman will exec produce the movie at Jerry Bruckheimer Films, which is at this moment readying "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" for a Disney release next summer, based on yet another video game franchise as well.

LEEE777 - Anything Straczynski does is gold and Bruckheimer is just the bomb, cant wait for this one!

Am currently watching Chanegeling. Its ok. Straczynski would be far more at home with something like this- big and epic, that wonderful Babylon 5 feel!

What would be the point of seceding if Washington is wiped out to begin with? plus they already have state goverments and then you need a good reason for them to fight each other . Texas is all by itself ., California no longer calling itself a state typical of a state full of libral panzies.
New England alliance oh please pass the Grey Pupon this game is pointless

@Leee- Come to think of it, Im inadverdently in the middle of a Straczynski craze. And its totally coincidental- just finished the B5 spin-off Crusade today, am finishing his run on Spidey (just coming up to the Brand New Day stuff), and am watching Changeling as I write!
Are you a big B5 fan? He really does know his stuff. He first conceived B5 in 1986 and spent years with notes on philosophy, science, religion in order to create the intricate narrative he did.
