Adi Shankar has just released his anime version of the popular Nintendo game, Castlevania, on Netflix. The series has garnered mostly positive reviews, and set Shankar up with some momentum as he develops his next anime series, Assassin's Creed.

Shankar sat down with Nintendo Life to chat about the Castlvania series where he was asked about how Assassin's Creed was coming along. "I am working on Assassin’s Creed," he said. "Lots has been decided but I’m not going to reveal any of it. It’s going to be dope."

He was then asked if there was another Nintendo game he'd like to develop, and Shankar answered, "Dark Metroid in the same anime style."

The Metroid series follows Samus Aran, and her exploits in space as she tries to prevent the Space Pirates from harnessing the powers of the parasitic organisms known as Metriods.

There have been rumors for a while that Netflix is looking to bring Nintendo IPs to their streaming network. With the sucuess of Castlevania, which is owned by Konami, possibly being a launching pad, it may pave the way for games like Metroid and The Legend of Zelda getting a series as well.

As someone who enjoyed the Power Rangers short and Punisher Dirty Laundry, I would totally watch this.

Heck I would love to see his Bootleg version of Terminator

I've never gotten into the Castlevania game series but I've heard good things about the show. I'll probably check it out tonight. I'd be down for a Metroid animated series, that'd be great.

Off topic, but if y'all have Injustice 2, have you guys played with Sub-Zero yet? Damn, he's too badass.

If you liked Castlevania and you're into vampire lores, then Hellsing Ultimate is right up your alley, that show is so fricking good. Alucard instantly became my favourite anti hero ever.

And this Alucard is entirely differnt from Castlevania's.

Also, highly recommend watching the English dub, it's one of those rare cases where the dub is far superior than the original, the dub gave each character unique voices and accents

When did Castlevania become a Nintendo IP? Because I could have sworn it was Konami's.

As for this news I like the idea of this. I also can see Starfox working too.

@BlackIceJoe - My apologies, my wording was extremely confusing. I updated it to make it more clear.

What's up with the praise for this guy? He never direct or write his projects. He's not even a real producer. He's a Executive Producer. He only promotes it and steal all the credits.
