John Smedley, Sony Online Entertainment President, has tweeted some interesting sales and inventory details for DC Universe Online

Apparently Sony Online Entertainment's massively multiplayer online role-playing game DC Universe Online is quite the success and has become SOE's fastest selling game ever.

Recent Twitter updates from SOE President John Smedley, we now know that they were having trouble meeting demand for their recently released MMO.

Jan 23 - "Working on out-of-stock problems for DCUO. It's out fastest selling game ever. Should have more inventory in Monday."

Jan 23 - "We were #1 in sales on Steam last week!"

Jan 23 - "Meant to say 'it's our fastest selling game ever'. Phone typing ftw!"

Jan 24 - "People are asking what the PS3 / PC split is on sales. It's 52% PS3 and 48% PC."

According to his most recent tweet, the inventory issues are now under control, "We are all back in stock with DCUO!"

Have the game, I get caught up playing on my nights off from work...end up on it for 6 hours or more at a time on my PS3...AWESOME game to me. :-)

I'm still thinking about buying this one, what are the negatives to this game? I've heard you cant really create "ultra" powerful guys. And how do you travel between cities?

I really enjoyed the trailer/movie thing, but other than that spending the time I did in WoW and the time and money I wasted, I am more than likely gonna stand clear of this.

Also they are putting out a DC Universe comic book as well.

The negatives, if you are strictly a mission guy and run into another Player playing on the opposite side they more than often attack you and won't leave you alone even if they do kill you. That is most often what pisses me off in the game, or playing a lower ranked mission when I am a higher ranking and still getting my ass whooped. The positives for me outweigh them both though which is why I keep going back.

I love this game so much! Alot of the problems with Beta seem to have been taken care of which is nice. Wish I could've kept my Beta character though.

Not a fan of the MMO genre. So the games for me this year will definitely be Arkham City and Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

I'm still contemplating buying it. $180 a year (plus the cost of the game) just to own it is a bit much.

I play a lot, but I don't buy a lot. I usually rent or buy games that have tons of replay value (like Black Ops or sports games). Still, this concept is exactly what I've been asking for so its tough not to get in.

Too bad there's a subscription and that it's $15 (vs. say, $5 which I wouldn't whine about). If there wasn't, I'd have encouraged everyone I know to purchase it.

I'd still like to know what everyone thinks of it. is this a "must-have game"?

I played for a few weeks in beta it was fun. But I pre-ordered my copy from BestBuy in Nov and I still have not received it yet.

this game isn't worth a shit compared to other mmo's like world of warcraft. server lag is ridiculous and there is hardly no way to customize the way you want to play it. it looks like sony took all of the wonderful things about WoW and left them out of this game so they would be different. this game has potential to be great, but they still have a lot of things to work on.

The UI on PS3 sucks, its slow and unresponsive.
and the load times BLOW other than that, its pretty addictive.

I am so loving this game although I try to limit my play time so as to not become addicted! I like that enemy players can attack you at any time, yes it sucks getting your ass handed to you by a group of them but I think the key is to form your own team. I hate when they make it so that you can't be attacked during missions on games, the way I see it, if it was a 'real' hero vs villain World, you could be attacked at any time. I got defeated about 30 times last night!!! Hahaha, although I was one of the few villains on my mission and there was like 10 Heroes floating around!!!
If anyone has it, add me, I'm SkullFace616 on PS3 I have a hero in gotham and a Villain in Metropolis and need some buddies to help me out! :o)

Game is great but I find I have to pace myself. It can be stressful on the nerves if you're working on missions in the live world (PVP). Especially when a level 30 decides to go on a killing spree and takes you out for fun. Don't hesitate on getting this game though. It's worth every penny if you're a fan.

I am a fan but im not forking out theat much on a game , hell my 360 gold membership is cheaper then that and it does nt lag at all and I can play all my games on line, its to bad i would have liked to have it but, Ill pass...

I love it. There is a real feeling of power why picking up a car to throw at Solomon Grundy or just flying through Metropolis to find the little exclamation points.
The single player dungeon type things are great and the voice acting is top notch (Except some NPCs like Martian Manhunter who sounds like Dr. O from the Venture brothers)

The only issue that really bugs me is the chat windows blow. But grab Ventrilo and BAM done.

Totally replaced WoW for me at the moment.

Ring War PVP vs the yellow Lanterns is fun. But Sinestro beat my ass.

Yeah, I wish there were voice chat as well, the typing thing gets frustrating at sometimes. There's a few things they need to fix, but all in all, it's an amazing game! I'll admit, I'm addicted. ;)
