I know I have mentioned this before on a CBM article but There is a KOF movie which is due out in 2010. The movie is being directed by Gordon Chan, the screenplay was written by Rita Augustine and Matthew Ryan Fischer.
The cast is as follows............
David Leitch as Terry Bogard
David is primarily a Stunt double/ Coordinator he has doubled for Brad Pitt and Van Damme on many occasions, David is currently doing stunts for Tron 2.0
Maggie Q as Mai
Most of you should know Q from Live free die hard and Need for speed Undercover, she is currently filming The Warrior and the Wolf.
Sean Faris as Kyo
Sean was in Pearl Harbor, and an episode of Smallville as Byron Moore in 2002, he was also in Boston Public and one tree hill for one episode each.
Monique Ganderton as Mature
Monique is also a stunt double she has been in films such as X-men: the last stand, Underworld Evolution, Fantastic Four 2, she has also been on Smallville and Battle star Galatica as a stunt double. Monique is currently stunting in Tron 2.0
Will Yun Lee and Iori
Most of you will most likely recognize Lee from Elektra as Kirigi, but he has also been in CSI, Hustle, Bionic Women, Torque, and he played as Sarah's partner Det. Danny Woo in the Witchblade t.v series.
Bernice Liu as Vice
KOF will be Liu's first Hollywood film she is primarly in Asian cinema. Liu has been in (English titles) Love Bond, Healing Hands III, and The Brink of Law, to name a few.
Ray Park as Rugal
Now I know you all know Mr. Park he has been Darth Maul, Toad, and is now going to be Snake eyes... but some may not know that he was the body of the headless horseman in Sleepy Hallow (1999) and he was also Raptor #3 and Baraka #2 in Mortal Kombat Annihilation, he also had a cameo in Fanboys as a THX guard
Françoise Yip as Chizuru
Yip has been in quite a few T.V series, starting with Robocop: Prime Directives, later on she was on Jeremiah, Smallville, Andromeda, and Blood Ties. Yip has also been in a few films such as Blade: Trinity, Alone in the Dark, and AVP:R
Sam Hargrave as Ryo
Sam is a stunt double as well, you would have seen in Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Dexter, Transformers, Numb3ers, Moonlight, (if any of you ever watched it...only lasted a season) Scrubs, Heroes, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li, and Dollhouse.
I'm looking forward to this but I have low expectations very rarely does a Video Game movie live up to what the games were especially one based on a fighting game I really don't want to see another Street Fighter, I would like to see something as monumental as MK 1..... any thoughts on this?
*Edit* found the synopsis for the movie: found this on Wikipedia.
"The King of Fighters movie will introduce a new science fiction spin into the setting established in the games’ universe by following the surviving members of three legendary fighting clans who are continually whisked away to other dimensions by an evil power," says insider blog Movieset.
"As the fighters enter each new world they battle that universe’s native defenders, while the force that brought them seeks to find a way to invade and infect our world."
