With Rocksteady games handing over the Batman Arkham reins to Warner Bros Montreal, I have found some breaking news that fans of the franchise will go Batshizzle over!!!

So this what Arkham Asylum/Arkham city fans have been waiting for, news on the forthcoming title by Warner Montreal.
As we know this will be a prequel to the previous Arkham tittles and yes the game will be set in Gotham on Christmas Eve set way, way before the other Arkham games. This however isn't a batman origin Year One style story and as far as I know it isn't a story on how Arkham Asylum came to be. Batman in this game will meet certain characters for the very first time.
The basic premiss for the game is eight of the worlds deadliest assassins get sent (by whom I don't know) to Gotham with one mission, yes you guessed it kill the Batman.
The studio have said they will be adding never before seen features that weren't in the other Arkham titles. Maybe we get to drive the Batmobile round Gotham or maybe even the Batwing. Just the fact that it will be set in Gotham is very exiting. Not to mention the villains that will feature, I know Deathdstroke will be in the game, first image's below:

The game is due for an October release cancelling out rumours that this will be a next gen console release.
Just picture how stunning this could be, Gotham City covered in snow lit up with Christmas lights with a dark undertone brewing. I for one am a massive Batman fan and a huge fan of the previous games which in my opinion do the Batman and all that comes with it complete justice.
Let us know what you think of this news and what characters and possible ways this game could go in terms of story/plot.
Comment below, keep it clean and try to be positive,
Peace out bean sprouts.

I hope it's not as long to beat as the first one. I liked it but it just took forever to complete. And when I finished it, I had other shit to do to finish it.

@TayDee

What are you talking about.....more the better i say! Best games are the ones you keep playing! Who doesn't want to keep playing as the Batman?

@Obi Seeing as it's a new developer taking the reins, they'll release Origins first, then if successful (which is likely) they'll have a bigger budget for City Sequel.

@SotoJuiceMan WB Montreal worked on the Wii U version of Arkham City as well didn't they? Hopefully by taking that game apart and rebuilding it they have a good idea what makes the game good and hopefully build upon that. Plus they have all the assets from the previous 2 Arkham games so all they have to do is put them together.

Rocksteady is still working on Arkham 3, this is simply a game for bat-fans to enjoy while Arkham 3 is being worked on. So please no one start complaining about Rocksteady stop doing Arkham games.
