Sega president Mike Hayes has pledged his support to Disney's acquisition of Marvel Entertainment, reports Newsarama.
The gaming giant currently holds the publishing rights to release titles based on "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America." According to Hayes, this licensing agreement is to remain in place.
"We congratulate Disney on its acquisition of Marvel and look forward to working with both companies on future ventures," he said. At this time, there are no changes to Sega's existing licensing agreement for the "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America" video game titles.
"We're hard at work on the "Iron Man 2" game and committed to making all three of these titles hugely successful working right alongside the combined forces at Disney and Marvel."
It was previously reported that the development of video games based on Marvel properties could move in-house to Disney Interactive.
So it seems Sega is happy.
But after the Captain America game, Disney will probably get a hold of all Marvel games from then on.
Good thing or Bad?
