Well personally i think its a decent poster, but what can you really tell from it? I thought the trailer looked promising too, but i take peoples point about it being a bit silly starting what i assume will be a franchise with Chun Li as the focus...hey i like to watch her spinning bird kick as much as the next guy! but the really should have started with Ryu i think.

OK. This is the Legend of Chun-Li, so why is there a guy punching Vega in the face, and not Chun-Li? Kind of silly. I have to wonder who "Oz" from the American Pie series is playing.

Kristin Kruek is hot, yes. But not Chun-Li. Besides, right along with what Ror is saying, why didn't they start with Ryu? He was THE original playable character in Street Fighter. Then Ken was player 2. So why not start there? Gee, it only makes sense.

As for this article, it shows the lack of actual News this week and last and I commend Ror on grabbing something and running with it, because there isn't much to talk about at the moment.

Sorry i just double checked and your right it is him! lol, i mixed up the names...damn that guy is godawful!

hes playing a guy called nash and theres also a character called maya..i dont know alot of the extended street fighter characters, wer either of them part of the mythology?

is it "some fight for us" or "some fight for US" lol.

Maybe that is Ryu punching Vega in the face; ror I asked wikipedia for nash and maya in a list of street fighter characters and they don't appear there.

If they wanted to have a female lead they could have done Sakura's story. She is sort of a Ryu stalker at the end of the movie, she could find him and set up everything for the sequel. Although I always saw her as a bizarre character, sort of Ryu in a schoolgirl's uniform.

tanx noob, i figured they made up the characters..so stupid when you consider just how many characters are already in the street fighter games!

i actually like chun li, always thought she was cool in the animated movies..but this probably wont be up to much. i still think it looks better than dragonball though!

About not having Ryu or Ken first. I really have no point to prove here, but with Batman Begins they didn't use the Joker as the first villian. And when they finally did in the sequel, The DarkKnight.........

Ror, trust me when I tell you....everything will look better than dragonball. Even when I was a wee little tot still watching the tv series on cartoon network. I had the thought of a real life action dragonball, I analyzed it, and was able to come to the conclusion that it would never work.

Joker wasn't the first villain, so that's ok. RYU and to a lesser point KEN, were the first characters.

Hey guys, i'm a bit of a Street Fighter nerd so I'll clear a bit of this up...

------US-----------------JAPAN---
M.Bison................Vega
Balrog.................M.Bison
Vega...................Balrog
Charlie................Nash

Quick reasons for the changes...
-M.Bison sounded too much like Mike Tyson (plus the resemblance) they were scared of getting sued in the US.
-Vega didn't sound scary enough to be a final boss according to the US suits.
-I think they just changed Nash's name for the hell of it.

Maya is a new character in the Street Fighter universe. I don't know if they made her up for the movie or if she is in the new game as well.

Also Ken and Ryu will not be in "THIS" film according to the director, but if they make others they will def. be in the next.

....damn, maybe i shud make one of those snazzy fansites :-D

Do it man! its good fun. yeah i new about the boss name switches but not about charlie/nash. i assume youve seen the first street fighter2 anime? they should just live action the shit out of that! theres your movie..it would be class...well theoretically!

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY....CANT THEY JUST HONOR THE MANGA,EVEN THE 1ST STREET FIGHTER ANIMATED TURNED LIVE ACTION WOULD BE BETTER. IS IT GOING TO BE ANOTH HALLE BERRY CATWOMAN? Talon is right. Nash (Charlie in U.S.) was mentioned since Street Fighter II in one of Guile's "after fight" quotes. He makes his first visual appearance as a fighter in "Street Fighter Alpha" (which is the "prequal" to SF). Nash/Charlie is the character that trailed Guile. "Maya" seems to be made up for the movie.
