Thanks to the collapse of their deal with Marvel Studios, this week has already been rough on Sony Pictures, and now another one of the studio's films has hit a major speed bump - and this one also involves current
Spider-Man actor Tom Holland.
According to a new report from
Deadline,
10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg has exited the live-action
Uncharted film. And, as expected, the studio is hoping to find a replacement as quickly as possible since they still aim to begin production early next year.
However, while one major player may be leaving the project, PlayStation Productions will reportedly now be involved in the film’s development, making the video game adaptation its first feature production.
The live-action
Uncharted movie, which previously lost directors Shawn Levy and Seth Gordon, is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2020.
