CD Projekt RED, the same game company responsible for the
Witcher games, have debuted the first teaser trailer for their newest sandbox game,
Cyberpunk 2077, which is still in development. According to RED, the game will be exactly like we see in the trailer, so we're not only watching a cutscene, but something very close to what might be the actual gameplay, being very possible that this will be released in the next generation of video game consoles.
The game is an RPG, and it's set in the year of 2077 in the Night City metropolis, where people use and abuse implants and substances to increase or improve the capabilities of the human body. But the problem is that when people exaggerate on the use of the implants, the same start to rebel against the biological parts of the body and other humans, with the implants starting a real carnage, killing all the "meatbags" (that's how they call people who don't have any implants). To fight these psychopaths, there's a special police division called MAX-TAC, Maximum Force Tactical Division, also known as Psycho Squad, which is formed by other psychopaths full of implants, but that are now under control.
The video below features the developers revealing the game and explaining many of their choices, such as why it is set in the year of 2077, the weapons system available in the game, the RPG system and much more:
