Adrianne Palicki Was 'Devastated' About WONDER WOMAN Show Not Getting Picked Up

Former Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki talked about her experience as Wonder Woman, saying how she loved wearing the costume when filming the pilot and was devastated when she couldn't film more because the show was never picked up.

Adrianne Palicki recently played Lady Jaye in G.I.Joe: Retaliation, but she was originally supposed to be Wonder Woman in a show by NBC which was never picked up. IGN talked to the actress about her experience as the Amazon Princess. Despite being upset the show was never picked up, she raved about her exciting time playing the iconic character. “I got to play Wonder Woman which was, by the way, maybe one of the coolest things ever,” Palicki said. She was asked if she regrets that the show didn't move forward. “I wouldn’t say regret,” she says. “I was devastated when it didn’t go and it was expected to. It was one of those things that was shocking. But in retrospect it was probably a blessing. It would’ve been a really hard thing to shoot. And I got to wear the costume -- I should say, I got paid to wear the costume! So not many people get to say that. [laughs] I’m really blessed to have gotten to do that and maybe someday down the line I’ll get to play that character or another awesome icon again.” Gal Gadot may have been recently cast as Wonder Woman in the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel, but we can't help but wonder what the series would have been like. Do you wish the show was picked up? Sound off below!

Sad for her, but from what I saw of the show it looked terrible.

People think Agents of Shield is bad. This would make AOS look like the Dark Knight, and the Wonder Woman TV series look like Batman and Robin.

I agree this would have been a bigger disappointment then Agents of Shield!

I liked Adrianne as Wonder Woman. I thought she had the look, the body, and definitely the height. And though the costume they had her in looked like shit, she at least looked good wearing it.
I would have liked to see the show get picked up...even if it was just for 6 episodes. Something like the Charlie's Angels reboot that failed. Just something to see how it might have turned out. The pilot sucked, no doubt. Wonder Woman killing? Really? TERRIBLE idea. But film a couple of episodes, then read up on what fans and critics are saying, then adjust. Given a chance it might have turned into something decent.

Well, it was probably her fault

She did okay. She was believable. But the pilot was garbage. Utter shit. The writing was terrible... She was like an executive at a toy company trying to make profit on the Wonder Woman name. Like... She got pissy with one guy saying her tits didn't match the action figures or something... It was terrible. But I love Adrianne. They should've picked her for Bats Vs. Supes. She has real talent and is incredibly attractive.
