JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Gal Gadot Confirms Joss Whedon "Told Me He Will Finish My Career"

We've heard the rumblings about clashes on the set of Justice League between director Joss Whedon and Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, and the latter has now confirmed that he did threaten her career.

Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot has so far kept mostly quiet about her experiences on the set of Joss Whedon's Justice League reshoots in 2017, issuing only a brief statement through her reps. However, in an interview with Israeli website Mako, the actress finally broke her silence with a brief statement regarding the filmmaker's conduct.

Ray Fisher has talked openly about Whedon, with an exposé from The Hollywood Reporter shedding even more light on his disturbing behaviour.

In the piece, it was revealed that "[Whedon] threatened to harm Gadot's career and disparaged Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins." One source even told the trade that, "Joss was bragging that he's had it out with Gal. He told her he's the writer and she's going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie."

Gadot confirmed as much by saying (translated via The Direct), "Joss Whedon told me he will finish my career, he told me directly that if I do something he will make sure my career will be miserable. I took care of it right away." An alternate translation doing the rounds reads, "He kind of threatened my career and said if I did something, he would make my career miserable and I just took care of it instead."

What Gadot says here is likely a reference to what we heard about the actress getting Warner Bros. execs involved, who then made sure the two were only on set when studio representatives were present.

Of course, we'd later hear that Whedon locked Gadot's stunt double in her dressing room when she expressed a reluctance to shoot that scene with the Flash's head in the Amazon's cleavage.

Needless to say, we're not banking on seeing more from Whedon in Hollywood anytime soon...

@Ringers89 - maybe Fisher coulda handled some of this situation differently, then again maybe he couldn’t. I don’t know. Regardless, it’s nice to see more of the truth regarding Whedon. Dude is an egomaniac and clearly a faux-progressive. He’s “progressive” in his interviews and that’s as far as it goes.

@TyrantBossMedia - Whedon has already slandered himself and he’s been doing it for years.

@TyrantBossMedia -
It's hilarious that he thought he could threaten one of the golden children of the DCEU.

@TyrantBossMedia - My understanding, based on what I've read, is that the part you shared as well as what was shared on Twitter, is from the second half of what she shared in the interview... It's highlighted in the report from TheDirect...
