WONDER WOMAN 1984: Action-Packed New Clip Sees The Amazon Warrior Chasing Down Maxwell Lord

For a while, it looked like Wonder Woman 1984 might slip into 2021. Instead, Warner Bros. made the decision to release the DC Comics sequel on HBO Max and in theaters at the same time on Christmas Day.

That gives fans the option of watching the movie on the biggest screen possible or in the comfort and safety of their own homes, but as we learned last night, not everyone is happy with the development! Regardless, Wonder Woman 1984 is fast approaching, and it's nice to have a new CBM to look forward to after a 2020 where even the superhero genre has been defeated by COVID.

Now, a new clip from Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman follow-up has found its way online, and it shows Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) chasing Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal).

Eventually, Diana dons her Wonder Woman costume and races into action against the private army the villain has amassed, even catching a bullet with the Lasso of Truth in what looks to be a great moment. Clearly, Jenkins isn't playing around when it comes to delivering some memorable visuals here.

Take a look at this newly revealed Wonder Woman 1984 clip below, and you can see our reaction to the sequel by clicking here.

@Jaspion - Indeed, feels like those action scenes from a Bollywood movie (don't mean any disrespect, they can be fun).

And I still get disoriented every time I hear Wonder Woman's theme. It sounds cool, but I don't think it fits her character at all.

At least her character when she's not being directed by Zack Snyder.

@Superheromoviefan - because the vast majority of users here are Disney nut-huggers. It could technically 100% perfect and they'd STILL crap all over it.

@davidcub - Agreed, a lot of bias around these parts, heck, that crap Wandavision looks like absolute garbage but everybody is thinking it's genius, LOL, it's hilarious.

@JRM1995 - for real! They think if enough of them agree, it makes it fact. They'll admit the BP cgi sucked... because they have no choice!

The action sequences look fake as hell. Also this looks like an Indiana Jones rip off action scene.

OT: What's the deal with #FixMsMarvel trending on twitter? People seem to be raging over some casting decision from what I can tell.

@RageDriver2401 - Apparently one of the actors that was cast might be anti-Muslim, which is pretty ironic.

@Kumkani - ah okay. I read some tweets where they were pissed off about an Indian actress playing a Pakistani character and I was like wuutt.
Kumkani
Kumkani - 12/8/2020, 2:07 AM
@RageDriver2401 - I mean, yea. If you understand the history between Pakistani and Indian people you'd understand why there are complaints.

@Kumkani - oh yes...that's a sticky one.
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 12/8/2020, 2:13 AM
@Kumkani - that's not the point. You don't see people getting pissed off about British actors playing American characters or non-german actors playing German characters and what not.

The nationality of an actor shouldn't matter when casting them for a part.

As far as this anti-muslim actor is concerned I understand the issue.

Yeah Indians and Pakistani are like Italians and French ppl...
Or italians and italians.

Damn Italians, they ruined Italy!!!
Kumkani
Kumkani - 12/8/2020, 2:46 AM
@RageDriver2401 - British people and American people do not have the same animosity towards each other that Indian and Pakistani people do. This is beyond accuracy in character nationality. Trust me, that's the underlying factor in the whole thing.

Read more about it here:

GwenLantern

@RageDriver2401 - I think it's more of a race thing than a nationality thing.

For instance, who would make a more fitting Luke Cage, Idris Elba or Ben Affleck?

Affleck right? Because he's American.
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 12/8/2020, 4:43 AM
@Kumkani - I'm Indian, you don't have to explain to me what the animosity is. We have muslim actors playing Hindu characters here. Race and religion should have nothing to do with casting parts. It only divides people further.

@GwenLantern - India/Pakistan are not races..
