WONDER WOMAN 1984 Promo Image Provides Our Best Look Yet At Kristen Wiig As Cheetah

We've seen a blurry version of this image already, but now a higher quality look at a playing card depicting the fully transformed Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) from Wonder Woman 1984 has found its way online...

While we await a new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 (there's a possibility we'll see it at the upcoming DC FanDome event), more and more marketing and promo material for Patty Jenkins' upcoming sequel continues to find its way online, and this latest image gives us our best look yet at Kristen Wiig as the fully transformed Cheetah.

This take on the DC Comics villain appears to be fairly comic-accurate, although she's a little less feline-looking than her more animalistic counterpart. Truth be told, she actually looks a bit more like Cheetara from Thundercats, but we may feel differently once we see her in action.

Check out the card along with a new, but very blurry look at Diana (Gal Gadot) in her Golden Eagle armor, and keep an eye out for updates on that trailer.

WW84 was recently pushed back from August 14th to October 2nd, and there's still a chance it'll ultimately be delayed even further. Warner Bros. is currently waiting to see if Christopher Nolan's Tenet will be able to make its Auguest 12th bow (that's also looking more and more unlikely), and if it doesn't, WW1984 will almost certainly be moved to 2021.

Right now, all we can do is wait and see. We should have a better idea of how things are looking over the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime, check out some recent Total Film covers below, and let us know if you're looking forward to the movie in the usual place.

It's looking better, for one thing it's practical and doesn't look like Cats. Any similarities are only there because yeah how else can you make Cheetah look without disappointing people. probably won't see it in action till the last third of the movie.

Although still hoping that by the time they get to the final showdown she looks like this

@dracula - hopefully when its in motion it wont remind people of cats. I dont wanna go to the theaters with people holding signs saying #releasethebuttholecut

@Origame - I cant believe that is still a thing.

dont see how this can be compared to cat, like seriously Cats tried to attract furries or something, this seems like its meant to look unatural

@dracula - lets face it. The second they confirmed cheetah was the villain, the furries were guaranteed to come. Whether planned or not.

@Origame - Well if it helps Wonder Woman 3 become a sure thing, then welcome the furries, either way bet no movie is going to make their expected amount pre quarantine

@dracula - yeah. Its hard to say how all this is gonna go down when theaters open. According to that study about 60% said they were willing to go back to theaters with masks required, but its gonna be hard to say how that translates into ticket sales. Especially since theres gonna need to be half capacity.

@dracula - She's not gonna look like that.

However, I do appreciate the Mystique vibe she's giving off.
Romijn-Mystique, not Lawrence-Mystique.

@Battabing - probably not, really was just thinking for a last minute thing just for a fight, obviously looking like that would make it hard to act.

The design we have is fine, great to see practical effects. Wonder if they did it the way it was done on romijn or of its a suit like lawrence

It looks good! Just about as good as Kristen Wiig as Cheetah could get honestly.

Why do I feel like every article about Cheetah has the same title?

@WakandanQueen - I was just gonna say, I feel every new article is our best look yet

Got a feeling this will be the DCEU’s best yet. Cuz my knee hurts. Also I have a sore pec. Backne. Left palm all blistery from shoveling rocks and lawnmower grass out from under a borrowed car I just gave back. I can FEEL it.

She looks pretty good. I hope this is solid, and leads to more GOOD director led movies from DC. Like Reeves Batman.

I figured it'd look like this rather than the other stuff we've seen. I had no doubt the final design would look like Kristen Wig is in there.
