As more details about Disney+'s highly-anticipated X-Men: The Animated Series revival, X-Men '97, continue to find their way online, this latest rumor is scorching hot. You might even say, it's like an Inferno (sorry).

Possible spoilers follow.

According to reliable scooper @MyTimeToShineHello (via Toonado.com), the new series will feature the animated debut of the Goblin Queen herself, Madelyne Pryor.

In the comics, Pryor was an incredibly powerful mutant who bore a striking resemblance to Jean Grey. After positioning herself as an enemy of the X-Men, it came to light that she was actually a clone of Jean created by Mr. Sinister, who was hoping to produce the ultimate mutant via a union between Pryor and Scott Summers, aka Cyclops.

The character has a long and somewhat convoluted history, so it'll be interesting to see how Maddie is utilized for this show. We did recently learn that Jean will become pregnant at some point during the series - but what if it was actually Maddie that was shown in the clip?

Still no premiere date announcement for X-Men '97, but a new teaser did debut during San Diego Comic-Con last weekend, so we'll hopefully get some official updates soon.
