In today's crowded blockbuster landscape there have been two spy franchises that have stood the test of time - James Bond and Mission: Impossible. Movement on the former has been slow over the past few years, but is now picking up due to series newcomer Danny Boyle's position at the helm. On the other hand, Mission: Impossible has been delivering one action masterpiece after the other with its latest, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, receiving critical acclaim across the spectrum. One actor from the series, Henry Cavill, has shown significant interest in Bond in the past, but it is his involvement Mission: Impossible that has it at its peak.

I would love to do it of course. I think Bond would be a really fun role. It’s British, it’s cool. I think that now that I have my Mission: Impossible badge we can do real stunts and really amp it up as well . . . It would be fun for me to actually take what I’ve learnt on this and carry it through to a movie like Bond.

Do you think Henry Cavill should be the next 007?

Sly move Henry. “Well you know Warner’s, if you don’t pay me...SONY is willing to give me a three pic deal for a Bond series.” Wink wink 😉

He's charming, got the Bond look, British, and looking at Man from U.N.C.L.E. the dude is very charismatic. I'd love to see him as Bond. Superman hasn't treated him well, but spy movies seem to suit him.

I'd be down for that. Anyone watch the screenjunkies video with him wearing a fake moustache throughout the video?
