Speaking to Collider, Jason Statham - who plays 'Lee Christmas' in Sly Stallone's hit action flick The Expendables - confirms his involvement with the pending sequel, set to be released next August. He also reveals that filming will begin in 'two weeks time' in Bulgaria, while he's also asked about the cast.

Are you involved in The Expendables 2?

Yeah, yeah Sly and the motley crew are gonna get together and I’ve been invited to the party, and I wanna go there. I had such a great time with Sly, he’s a man I’m very happy to work with again.

Did they tell you when you start filming?

Yeah they start in two weeks time. Literally, I’m gonna go from one – I’m making a movie with Taylor Hackford in New Orleans called Parker, I’m going straight from there to Bulgaria. That’s where we’re at, Expendables 2 Bulgaria.

There’s been a lot of rumors about the cast, has Sly told you who’s in it? Is it secret?

It’s not secret, but the confirmation of who’s in it I can’t give you. But every name in the book has been bandied around, I mean there’s no one out there that hasn’t done great action along the course of their career that hasn’t been at some point mentioned as being in the film, so who the [frick] knows? (laughs).

The Expendables 2 hits theaters August 17th, 2012!

@elcaballerooscuro92 that seems like an awesome idea, but i doubt he would do it because it's way too violent for him. perhaps donny yen should replace jet li...

The Expendables is great for that old school action, but the acting was very shitty aside from the cameo of Wills and Arnold.
