Johnny Depp was interviewed by "Extra's" Jerry Penacoli and spoke about the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". By the 7th minute mark the interviewer couldn't help himself and brought up Iron Man.

Jerry Penacoli:
Your son was more enamored with Iron Man.

Johnny Depp:
Yeah. Well there was an evening, Bob Downey, we've known one another for a million years.

Jerry Penacoli:
I like how you call Robert Downey ''Bob''.

Johnny Depp:
Yeah, we sort of came up the ranks together you know in a weird way back in the 80's and stuff. He's someone I've always admired and we have a good relationship.

He and his wife came over for dinner one evening and my son was just like, he was sitting and just couldn't believe that he was sitting next to Iron Man. (LAUGHS) So I saw Captain Jack leave my son's eyes (LAUGHS) and Iron Man was the ticket."
