Skip Woods is in final negotiations to write the script for the new Die Hard film for 20th Century Fox.

Woods is known for writing video game adaptation Hitman, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the upcoming The A-Team.

Live Free Or Die Hard earned $378 million worldwide in 2007 so it's no suprise that sequel is being made. There is still no official story line, but Bruce Willis in one of the interviews said that they will probably go worldwide with the character. Stay tuned for the updates!

Also, there is a comic book prequel to the first film called Die Hard: Year One.

I'm up for another one. The last one wasn't terrible, but I deeply missed the constant waterfall of F-Bombs...

I've yet to pick up that comic, but I've been meaning too. Money's tight, you know.

I also think it's funny that antz1104 (most likely) called him "John McClean" as sort of a dig at how he had become Mc...Clean in the last film, and wasn't as foul mouthed because it was PG-13, and now, all of a sudden, everyone's spelling it like that.

LMAO Contrast, glad you caught that! To be honest I could sit thru another if they went back to a hard R rating. Here's hoping The Expendibles kickstarts that movement.

Oh yeah and somehow reanimate Maggie Q's corpse, second that she's bangin' hot.

@antz1104-- I'm a perceptive little S.O.B.

I hope Expendibles is successful for that same reason... I was watching something (don't remember what it was, though) and they were talking about how up until the late 90s, you could always tell if a movie was going to be good based on if it was rated R. He said that this was no longer the case, but I disagree, I think it's still the case, but less R rated movies get made because studios love money too much to care about actual film quality.

agreed on the R rating. defeinately a must for mcclane. but they wont do it cause the pg-13 one made the most money of all of them (even adjusting for ticket prices) and the studio will no doubt attribute that to the lower rating. :(

Where I don't feel the need for a fifth movie I would go see it if it came out. I would go with the R rating as well, PG13 is an insult to Die Hard and all of it's charms. The last movie came out unrated on DVD and it was light years better than the theatre version. F**k the sventeen and under crowd, I want more films for adults. God knows there's enough Potter, and Pirate movies for them!!!
