We recently got a (blurry) first look at Tenoch Huerta's Namor via some Black Panther: Wakanda Forever promo art, and some more artwork has now found its way online courtesy of an upcoming Sprite tie-in promotion.

The images aren't the clearest, but thanks to this latest leak we see Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Shuri (Letitia Wright) striking the signature Wakanda greeting pose, with the latter sporting an updated outfit and a new hairdo.

A rumor did the rounds earlier this week which claimed that the first trailer for the sequel would debut tonight during the NBA finals, but it appears to have been debunked.

There were also rumors that Marvel Studios was planning to move forward with the sequel without Wright, who came under fire for supposedly espousing anti-vax views on set. This led to speculation that the actress may even have been fired outright, but clearly that wasn't the case.

Official plot details are still under wraps, but we have been assured that the MCU sequel will honor the late Chadwick Boseman while continuing the legacy of his character, T'Challa. We may now know how Marvel Studios and director Ryan Coogler intend to achieve this, but it's quite spoilery, so click here if you want to know more!

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 11, 2022.

@MUTO123 - do we know who’s suiting up as Black Panther? Is it Shuri? I feel if Boseman had been recast then we would’ve heard something by now.

@WruceBayne - they already said they aren't recasting the role.

Wish I could get excited for this film but a Black Panther movie without Black Panther is still a hard pill to swallow.

@MrDandy - I’m the complete opposite. I can’t wait for the this film. Who said the movie won’t have a Black Panther in it? The reason why I loves the first film is not only T’Challa, but the world of Wakanda, Shuri, M’baku, Okoye, and more. Plus we’re getting the debut of Namor.

I think this will be the biggest MCU this year. There is a reason why it was #1 on Fandango’s Most Anticipated Movies list for this year.

@LiteralSense90 - it won't have the black panther in it. Because marvel has this backwards idea that it somehow honors him to let the role die with him.

@Origame - I was one of the few a little after Chadwick’s passing calling for a recast of the character. I remember a lot on here bashing me for that opinion at the time. After Marvel said they chose not recast, I accepted it. Keep harping on it won’t change a thing. Now everybody here is calling for a recast. About 2 years ago most people didn’t have that same sentiment.

We’ll just have to wait and see how they’ll honor him. With the way the multiverse is going, you just never know what Marvel Studios will do later on down the road with character.

@LiteralSense90 - id say it's most likely people didn't really think things through and were just basing it on the emotions of the situation. Him dying so suddenly and the movie still happening? Of course they'd say don't recast. But now that we've calmed down, have accepted the situation and know there's a movie on the way, we can fully comprehend what that means.

And I really don't agree with just accepting it. The movie hasn't released yet, and this decision is still worth criticizing.

Also, really don't like the multiverse angle to bring the character back. At that point you might as well have just recast the role. All the interesting stories of tchalla dealing with spreading Wakandan tech around the world is gone in favor of just killing the character off and basically remaking the first movie.

@MrDandy - There will be a Panther, there just won't be the Panther we're accustomed to. To each their own, but I'm disappointed Wright doesn't want to be the Black Panther going forward. I doubt anyone expected Boseman's death, and she probably thought she'd never have to worry about that. I hope they just recast, because the rumor about the son out of wedlock I'm not excited about. Love Winston Duke, but I'm not excited about that either. They should've recasted, but they didn't and I'm not getting into why. Hopefully, Coogler & company make it work.
