Marvel Studios Reveals Massive Phase 5 Slate Including DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN, THUNDERBOLTS, And BLADE

Marvel Studios has confirmed that Phase 4 ends with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever this November, and Kevin Feige has shared the entire Phase 5 slate, including some major surprises and release date news.

By the time Black Panther: Wakanda: Forever is released in theaters this November, there will have been a total of fourteen MCU movies and TV shows released since Black Widow wrapped up Marvel Studios' Phase 4. As a result, we perhaps shouldn't be surprised that Phase 5 will kick off next year with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and Secret Invasion

In 2023, we'll also have Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Echo, Loki season 2, The Marvels, Blade, Ironheart, and possibly Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

That's a jam-packed year, but things will only get more exciting in 2024 with the eighteen episode Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+, Captain America: New World Order, and Thunderbolts (which will be the final chapter in Phase 5 according to Kevin Feige).

We're assuming this is the full slate, though if that's the case, 2024 won't be quite as busy (don't be surprised if a few more projects are added during Disney+ Day or even D23).

Still, it's hard to find fault with anything listed here and the next couple of years look set to be very exciting for MCU fans. Some have complained that Marvel Studios is prioritising quantity over quality lately, but with the pandemic in the rearview, fingers crossed Phase 5 will be a slightly less bumpy road to travel.

@DoubleD - MCU makes ridiculous money no one is saying it's dead. People ARE saying phase 4 has been bad.

@thewanderer - You ARE wrong. But you'll never understand it because you have bad taste in films. It's ok. Most people do.

@McMurdo - Phase 4 hasn't been bad. Shang-Chi, Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Wandavision, Loki, Ms. Marvel, Strange 2 were all good-great. This narrative you constantly try to propagate that because a few of their content didn't hit the mark as expected, that the entire phase was bad is complete hogwash. I honestly don't even know why you comment on MCU articles. I don't think I've ever seen you comment one thing remotely positively.

@Typhoon20 - a couple of disappointments doesn't make the whole phase bad. You're overexagerrating.

Deklipz
Deklipz - 7/24/2022, 6:19 PM
@Vigor - If I had one criticism it would be that I feel the Russos are too up close and too much shakey cam during close combat fight sequences. All that beautiful fight choreography torn apart in the editing room… it’s been an issue with them since Winter Soldier but people seem to like it so whatever. I just prefer to SEE the intricate choreography and skill rather than have it chopped up. Visually though they’re on point and their action scenes are solid.

@JDL - I imagine it will be one of the yet unnamed Phase 6 movies. I also don’t know that they’re done announcing everything for Phase 5 yet. I’m not convinced what we got yesterday was everything. Still a few surprises to come.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 7/24/2022, 8:55 AM
@Lokiwasright - I don't expect a Thor 5 anytime soon, but I do expect Hercules soon. So far don't see where he could fit in though.
JDL
JDL - 7/24/2022, 6:23 PM
@thewanderer - The only way I can see a Thor 6 is if Hemsworth does one w/o Taiki which he says he won't do. Coming in over budget and then under performing is not how you get get more gigs and that's what Taiki did. Atm Thor 5 is sitting at about $600M WW. That's not quite break-even and I'll be surprised if it gets to $750M whens it's done. Ther's no excuse for that.
