SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Star Michael Keaton Says He's Shooting Some "Vulture Stuff" This Week

Michael Keaton played The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming and will return in Morbius. However, the actor has now revealed that he's set to shoot some Vulture scenes this week! Read on for details...

Well, the cat may be out of the bag. Or should that be The Vulture?

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday evening, Michael Keaton started talking about his Marvel and DC roles, but ended the interview with quite the bombshell when he told the host, "I'm shooting tomorrow. [I'm shooting] some Vulture stuff." Could he be the sixth member of Spider-Man: No Way Home's group of villains?

These Vulture scenes being filmed for the Sony Pictures threequel does seem most likely. While the movie is less than a month away from arriving in theaters, a recent GQ profile on Tom Holland confirmed that, as of early October, there were still "a few shots to pick up, some additional dialogue to record."

With Adrian Toomes set to appear in Morbius, it's certainly possible this is what Keaton is referring to, but work on that movie is thought to have wrapped well before the pandemic hit. Many fans have questioned why none of Spider-Man's MCU villains will take aim at him alongside the likes of Doctor Octopus and Electro in the threequel, so throwing The Vulture into the mix does make sense. Another possibility is that this is for a post-credits scene teasing the actor's Morbius role.

Either way, there's clearly more Vulture on the horizon for Keaton, so consider us intrigued. You can hear the actor's comments for yourself around the 14:50 mark in the player below:

Morbius pick ups more likely, I doubt they'd do reshoots on this movie with only a month to go.

unless they're starting filming on Kraven.

After all, could you imagine this guy standing alongside Goblin and Ock? very different types of villains

What universe is Vulture in? He is obviously in the MCU so does that mean the one we saw in the Morbius trailer is a separate venom universe one?

So if that is the case does that mean Venom-Vulture has been pulled in to the MCU by Dr Strange? And if so what happens to the current MCU version?

Does any of this even matter!! I'm so confused!!

@Orphix -

Keaton is in the MCU but now with the multiverse anything is possible.

@Orphix - With Sony overseeing the final say on story its likely to be as convoluted as the Foxverse with regard to timelines.

@Orphix - I'm guessing that whatever happened to get all these villains into the mcu also sent toomes to the venomverse.

@regularmovieguy - think he could make an interesting Joker. But not the traditional white face, weird jokes Joker.

Just an asylum patient like they had in the Batman Telltale games. That worked great, and could see it work great here too. Just a cop that goes insane and loses his identity in the process.

If he is in the Batman he is gonna have the best of both worlds.

Playing a hero with a love interest that has real sexual chemistry and a villain where he can act bonkers.👦

He needs to give his agent a raise❤

@bkmeijer - If he doesn't have a traditional white face, then that ain't Joker

@KWilly - don't get me wrong, I do wanna see the white face eventually, but what I meant is that I don't want the Joker in The Batman universe to be this Joker to be like we've seen him in the animated show or the likes.

The Dark Knight and Joker (let's ignore Suicide Squad) did find ways to do it differently, and I think it could work if Reeves does it in yet another way.

Movie comes out in a month. I doubt it's for this movie.

@defenderofthefaith - it depends on what they’re shooting. The Vulture already knew he was Spider-man, so it’s not like there’s anything in this new film that would trigger a reason for Keaton to suit up and come after him. So it might just be a scene or scenes with him as a civilian talking to Peter and/or his family or other inmates…. That kind of thing can easily be shot in a day or two and added into the film with the remaining time.

@defenderofthefaith - It's seems less than likely, so I think it would be for Morbius, HOWEVER, Marvel Studios is known for (among many things) making changes up to the last minute (or as far toward that as they can get away with). Kevin has even stated this (in one way or another). They are always making improvements when they can (as with the currently filming Doctor Strange sequel).

But, my guess is Morbius.

Although, I hope it's Now Way Home.

Would say it makes more sense it's for Mobius. That one could use some more indication in which universe it takes place, so maybe that's what it is for.

Doubt it's for NWH, since that has multiverse villains. Think they'll keep MCU characters like Vulture (and Shocker, Mysterio and Scorpion) for a proper Sinister Six.

Well, i mean, there is a full-on LEGO set with him. I know that LEGO sets are nowhere accurate for plot points, but from what i can remember they usually are on point for what concern characters appearing in the movies.

If its for NWH, then it could be an after credits scene. Otherwise, its likely for Morbius.

Can Marvel Studios even use Spider-Man villains outside of the Spider-Man movie agreements? I do remember that Sony did say that they agreed for Spider-Man to appear in No Way Home and another MCU film. The question is which Spider-Man and what MCU film? It has to be either an Avengers movie or Multiverse of Madness.

@SonOfAGif - It is my understanding that they "can", IF they work it out legally.
