6. Kingdom Come by Mark Waid and Alex Ross-
This is probably my favorite Elseworlds story, the writing is great, and the art is magnificent. This needs to be an animated feature and can be along the same lines as Superman Vs the Elite. It would also be interesting, because we have not seen a story like this in a DC Animated film. The Dark Knight Returns would be the closest we get. The main Problem with making this one is condensing, and the art. We have seen that DC can do fairly well with condensing a story, and expanding one. However, the Art in this book would be too hard to animate, it makes you want to see a live action version of this. It would definitely have to be a very realistic feeling animation, fluid character movements and solid looking backgrounds. The only way too keep Alex Ross's style is to keep him locked up for ten years painting every single frame of the film (which is highly improbable) However rotoscope Animation, like used in the Hobbit and LOTR Animated films would help a lot in bringing this to life. And since animation has progressed significantly since the 70's and 80's there is no doubt they could make it happen. Plus Rotoscope is relatively cheap, don't quote me on that, and feel free to correct me in the comment section.
5.Batman: Knightfall by multiple artists and writers-
This of course would have to be at least a 3 part DVD to make it work, The story is too great to be condensed into one barely hour and a half film. Each could even be named differently Knightfall, Knightquest and Knightsend. You could do so much with this story, it is hard to believe DC did not do this around this time, because it would do great for sales to see Bane in animation and Live action. Now, we need BTAS animation for this. Bruce Timm's original style, perhaps cleaned up a bit. I just want to see a 100 percent faithful adaptation of this and to see the great BREAK YOOOOOU! on screen in front of me. I would buy all of these in a heartbeat.
4. Superman: Earth One, by JMS and Shane Davies-
This is a great origin Story comic, and I think is what should have inspired Man Of Steel. It shows a more Human Clark Ken, and restored my faith in the character. It is a new take explaining many things such as the suit, and the glasses, almost an Ultimate Version of the character, like from Marvel. Davies is one of those Artists that make me think I am reading Marvel book. It looks more Marvel than DC, and I don't see that as a bad thing. I lik the hard edges and detailed character looks. The overall tone of the Book is red, which i find fascinating. This animation style needs to be done in a more detailed Anime style, while I am not a huge fan of Anime, I can say they have a wonderful type of animation that catches the eye, and if done right can be beautiful!
3. Flash: The Death of The Dastardly Rogues by Geoff Johns and Francis Manipul-
We NEED a flash animated film. He has never had one for himself. and has only been "Featured" in other DC films. I think this would be a great film to do in animation, like most other DC films there is not an origin, and that isn't really needed, it can easily be told through flashback. This has a blend of serious crime drama and fun silver age madness. The art should definitely be based on Manipul's art as close as they can get, everything is beautiful, and for god sakes get NPH back as the Flash.
2. Aquaman New 52: The Trench by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis-
If you will notice i kinda love Geoff Johns. This movie needs to be made because it will up Aquaman's credibility as a superhero in the eyes of comic fans and maybe curious casual fans of DC animation. It wouldn't hurt to include an Aquaman short film on one of the Flash DVD's in order to get interest in a serious film based on this story. How cool would it be to see the opening scene from that comic with Aquaman stopping those robbers with his trident?! The art should be based on Reis' as close as possible, but if need be use the style used by Batman Under the red hood, or Young Justice, wither of those would be great styles for this film.
1. Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale-
Arguably one of the greatest Batman stories ever told, it even partially inspired Nolan's The Dark Knight. The story is great, as is the mystery. I could see it being told in two movies, rather than one, but hopefully they would be able to fit it all without taking out too many important details. The art style should reflect Tim Sale's but have more of a Noir feel to it. Maybe some blue shadings here and there during the night scenes.
