Check Out The First Teaser For Disney's CARS 3 And A New Trailer For SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE

Here we have teasers for a couple of upcoming animated features that may be on interest: a second trailer for Sony's new Smurfs flick, and a somewhat bizarre first look at Disney's Cars 3.

Below you'll find a new trailer for Smurfs: The Lost Village. There's not really a whole to say about that one - if you like The Smurfs, you might like this movie.

Far more interesting is Disney/Pixar's first teaser for Cars 3, which opts for an unusually dark/dramatic tone for a film aimed primarily at children. Perhaps this is just building up to a second trailer that'll lighten things up a bit? At any rate, there's some superb animation on display.

Have a look, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Smurfs: The Lost Village is set for release on April 7, 2017, while Cars 3 hits theaters on June 15, 2017.

Look...

I know Cars 2 was criticized for being way too kid-friendly to the point where older Pixar fans can't enjoy but...

DAMN!!!

@Quicker - this is the only dark scene in cars 2 the rest of the movie is so forgetable(except for the bathroom scene)

Anyway, Smurfs looks fun. Which is what a Smurfs movie should be. This one ain't going to get a bunch of "childhood ruined" comments. Thank you, Sony, for listening (for once) and keeping them in fantasy land.

I clicked on the Cars 3 trailer while thinking "Man, life really sucks. I'm kinda sick right now. But the trailer for the next Pixar movie is out. Maybe I can get a glimmer of hope".

What I got was a character I loved when I was little getting crippled in a terrible accident.

@Quicker - That's what you get for having hope in the first place.

Cars 3 will be the same plot as Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

@Kr08 - I know you're probably joking, but I just googled the synopsis and it really is Ricky Bobby-lite.

@TheNewGuy123 - I'm both joking and serious at the same time lol. This will be Ricky Bobby without all the cursing, unless you count Mater's hillbilly sayings.

@Kr08 @auditore - I think we can agree on one thing, though... Larry the Cable Guy is no John C. Reilly.
