The 25-year-old Rhode Island School of Design graduate decided that he wanted to do a parody video and create an alternate–and much darker–ending for the children’s film. What follows is that video.



The real animated movie (which amazingly looks pretty much exactly like the parodied footage above) is set to be released on December 17! Be sure to share your thoughts on this rather unique take on Yogi Bear in the usual place!

I didn't find that all that funny. Great animation, but wasn't very funny. I'm not affended or anything, I just don't see how anyone can actually laugh at that.

It was so sad it was funny. The fact that Boo Boo would even think about killing Yogi is hilarious. Can't wait to see the movie.

Wow, you can almost hear the silence broken by every little one in the theatre crying their eyes out if that WERE the actual ending :-D

I tend to like a lot of the kid movies. But if RorMachine is right and this is "abysmally bad" then i think i'll pass. :-(

that was actually really depressing... although i have to admit yogi's face when he hit the wall made me lol, and the carpet bit was kinda funny too

I could see the funny side of it-- especially the rug.

But it featured death of a beloved cartoon character in a very realistic violent manner that is brought about by betrayal of friendship. Plus the eyes, the facial expression and the background music-- you could almost hear Yogi whisper "Et tu, Boo-Boo?"
Yes I'm totally upset. Is it Yogi's fault to be smarter than the average bear? The world screams for justice. Bad Boo-boo! Evil Boo-boo!

On the other hand, has anyone notice that Viggo Mortensen looks more like Jesse James than Brad Pitt?
