What are all of you talking about those look awesome. Quit crying. That's all everyone does on this site. "Oh no. They f***ed this up oh no they f***ed that up." Geeze. Those Lions look Badass. If you all remember the old show was... well old. About time Voltron got some recognition.

Okay. I do my fair share of complaining, but you guys are absolutely ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with those lions. They don't even look THAT different from the original. Someone, PLEASE, tell me what is wrong with those lions.

just pics, I'm personally withholding judgement for now. As good as the original series was, it does need an update. Give it time before you crucify it.

I'm sorry but I have to agree with the majority here,.....FAIL!!!! You can aready tell that the dark gritty style of the original is gone. Glad there bringing them back but please stop trying to change everything theres a reason it was such a hit in the past.....IF IT AIN'T BROKE, you know the rest!!

i loved the o.g. Voltron but this i dont know, as to the lions it looks like this is a cgi toon, then you say its for kids and the darker tone of the original um do you remember the princess talked to mice, i recall they tried bringing it back years ago and it was a continuation of the first series. As for this reboot well like on Robot Chicken - Voltron Got Served -

They look like updates on the classic Voltron. Unfortunately, it looks like they decided to appeal to younger audiences.

As a fan of the original these look great to me. I think some people are looking at the old series with rose colored glasses on. As a kid, the show was great, but I recently tried to watch an episode and I wasn't able to make it to the end. It was really bad. That being said, I'll get the DVD collection for my son because it was a great show for kids.

@JackBauer I know what you mean but the thing is all we can get is the American version here in the US on DVD. When they dubbed it over here they changed the story a lot to take out a lot of the violence to where episodes did not make sense and some were out of order. Like for instance in the Japan version people died all the time but in the US version they did not want to have people die so in the Japanese version the original Black Lion Pilot gets killed but here in the US he just gets badly injured it just gets worse from there they list some of the changes on Wiki. Its very hard to watch as an adult because what you are seeing does not fit right with what they are saying.

The best way to watch it is trying to get Voltron: Beast King Go Lion on DVD it is in Japanese but has English subtitles it is way better that way. Hell just in the first episode it is vastly different than what appears in Voltron. The Earth is destroyed by nuclear war. They show men, women and children being burned alive. The Galra empire forces healthy slaves to eat the dead slaves. There were also many decapitations that didn't make it into Voltron.

Why the hell do Americans think St Paddy's Day is called 'St Patty's Day'? 'Patty' is a girl's name, for [frick]'s sake.

@Flagg - It may have something to do with the fact that it is derived from the name Patrick.

@Dmon - Thanks man. I may have to try that.

Jack's got the right idea. Please, guys. Go back and watch Voltron. It is one of the choppiest, poorly adapted American translations, ever. Half the women are obviously voiced by men, and there's a lot of recycled animation that makes absolutely no sense within the context of the story. Is it fun? Sure. Is it good? Maybe. But it's not worth all of THIS, as though it was ever gritty and well crafted. Nothing with Sven's accent will ever be justly called gritty.

Hope this isn’t US animation. It looks like it with the goofy ass jaws and toonish look. The US sucks at animation if your not Disney.
