BLADE : The best comicbook based animated series you're Not watching.

Fanboys like animation, but not ALL like anime. I know ,I know the style can be irritating. But 'Blade' is a welcomed exception. Give the series a chance and see for yourself. This show is something special!

Anime. Some love it. Some hate it. Some are indifferent. But this show has something to please everyone. The animation style is not traditional anime; it's a hybrid of east and west. It's realistic, gritty and beautiful. The story line is very loosely based off of original film, with new allies who are both interesting and entertaining.

The supernatural elements are expanded upon, but not excessively to a point where they seem corny. Blade travels to many different East Asian countries, encountering different cultures and tradition hunting down Deacon Frost who has multiple agendas Blade will soon discover. Along the way, even a certain Canadian turns up to lend a hand.

The action sequences are tense and violent! The dialog between characters is realistic and clever- even funny at times. Blade doesn't have a problem dropping the 'F'-bomb if it's warranted. Ultimately Blade's going to win, but it's a very fun and entertaining ride to travel along with him !

I have a whole new respect for the character now that I've watched the series and am hoping it preludes a film from Marvel/Disney that does Blade justice.
