Japanese publisher Shueisha printed 4 million copies of his One Piece manga volume 64, which is the latest in the series. That 4 million was just in it’s first print run, so it’s likely many more copies will be printed hot off the press! Volumes 57-63 had 3 million copies a piece printed in their first run, making volume 64 #1!
That’s not all, the 64th volume of the manga has already sold over 2 million copies. Actually, the volume had sold 2,018,366 copies between its first day on the Japanese market (November 4) and November 6th. According to Japenese statistics company Oricon, One Piece manga volume 64 is the 15th straight One Piece volume to sell more than two million copies since April 2008. The volume is 4th in terms of sales in it’s first week as One Piece manga volume 63 sold 2,119,400 copies in its first four days on the Japanese market, volume 60 sold 2,094,123 copies in its first four days, and volume 61 sold 2,086,080 copies in its first three days.
