Robotech Gets Good Writer

You know that Robotech movie that you were thinking was going to suck? Well, hang on a minute. Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Empire Strikes Back, is writing the script for Robotech, which changes the game entirely.

Everything as yet is unconfirmed, but it's coming from a number of sources, which means that it's likely the case. Also, Tobey Maguire's production company is developing the idea for Warner Bros., so we've got some heavy hitters going at this thing. Now, that doesn't mean it'll be good, but it means there's a better-than-average chance it'll get made.

anything new on this one? I was never a huge fan of robotech, but I'm all for robot movies.
