U. S. Senator Disses Anime - Says, "Two Nukes wasn't enough!"

This is why politics, comics, & anime don't mix well sometimes!

It seems a certain New Hampshire (NH)State Rep. Nick Levasseur (Democrat) had some profound comments on our fellow brethren in Japan.

I am not that shocked but putting stuff like that on your FaceBook page was really stupid none the less.

Nick stated: "Anime is a prime example of why two nukes just wasn't enough"

Spock, comments like this have no place in politics what so ever!

Good lord! I am so happy when I find out that people like this represent us. I wish so badly we could just start over with our Congress. It's embarrassing really.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! That is SO [frick]ed up! I'm sorry am I the only one who finds that statement to be funny as hell? Yes it was a totally [frick]ed up thing to say and shows what a douchebag he is but funny nonetheless. Epic.

no Igirl,I have a [frick]ed up sense of humor too, (I'm a huge stephen lynch fan), but this guy isn't a comedian, he's not poking fun at racism, he's just being a racist dick, and that isn't very funny to me.

When comments like this emerge, what always seems lost is the identity of the person who happened to take Levasseur's words to a wider audience. However, a site called pmp brain dumpclaimed that this wasn't a mere comment, but, in fact, Levasseur's status update.Isn't the deepest principle of a politician--and I know not many of their principles leave the shallow end of the thought pool--that of being very slightly careful about what you might say to whom. And where.

I except that the some of the Delta Vega coincidences are a bit farfetched.HP0-Y23 It makes sense that they would both be on Delta Vega but bumping into each other is unlikely. But remember this is a film and some creative licence is acceptable.HP0-S25 In response to Kingradon’s statement about the Red Matter, remember they had travelling away from Earth at warp for a few minutes. HP0-S26 Since it only took seven minutes to get to all the way to Vulcan.ibm certification I assume this would be long enough to get clear of Earth.

[Sarcastic Mode ON] Brightest comment ever. I feel better the nation is under the protection of such competent, god-fearing individuals.

[Sarcastic Mode Off] I don't know if I should cry or if I should laugh. That was one of the stupidest things I've heard. Does he truly think that by bombarding a nation will make them change their "unrighteous" ways? I definitively do NOT want people like that on power positions. I better stop ranting because like the subtitle says: "This is why politics, comics, & anime don't mix well sometimes!".
