After a brief visit in 2015's Ant-Man, we finally returned to the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and The Wasp. Unfortunately, we didn't spend anywhere near as much time there as we would have liked and Janet Van Dyne's newfound powers remain unexplained. Since the sequel was released, there's also been a lot of discussion about what Kevin Feige meant when he said director Peyton Reed has dropped some significant hints about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in that alternate dimension.
Do these new hi-res stills reveal any of them? I'm not entirely sure but they do provide a fascinating look inside the Quantum Realm and Hank's reunion with Janet after more than thirty years apart.
The level of VFX work which went into bringing this alternate reality to life is nothing short of staggering and these shots are stunning regardless of what they do or don't reveal about what the future holds in store for Ant-Man and The Wasp.
