In a new set interview, Joss Whedon & Aaron-Taylor Johnson talks about Quicksilver’s final scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron and how it impacted everyone, especially his sister Scarlet Witch. “Well, when I developed the scene, I scrapped it immediately, but then I thought about it, and I had second thoughts." Whedon said referring to Quicksilver’s final scene in the film. He then added, "In order for her to sort of transition away from Ultron's evil motives and see The Avengers as the good guys, something had to happen to her brother, something that’ll really touch her and everyone around her.” Aaron-Taylor Johnson then gave his thoughts on Quicksilver’s apparent death in the film, “You know, I think that scene is pretty powerful..." He then continues, “I don’t want to say too much you know, but the way he goes out, the sacrifice that he makes to save his sister, it’s pretty powerful.” Whedon was then asked whether Quicksilver will show up in another future Marvel Cinematic Universe film, he responded, “Anything’s possible in the Marvel Universe, that’s why I like it. I mean, it could go one way, or another. We’ll just have to wait and see.” Most of you might not approve of Whedon’s decision (I know I don’t), but they thought it was for the best.
