Road To INFINITY WAR: AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Concept Art Reveals Alternate SDCC Posters, Hulk Vs. Iron Man

That's not all, though! We also have the weapons used by Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, Avengers Tower, the team's arrival at Hawkeye's home and more. These SDCC posters are particularly cool!

Following in the footsteps of The Avengers was never going to be an easy task but with Joss Whedon back at the helm, Avengers: Age of Ultron gave it a good try back in 2015. Introducing new heroes and a terrifying villain in the form of Ultron, the sequel brought an awful lot to the table and generated a lot of excitement among fans. While Thanos will no doubt be an even more formidable threat in Infinity War, we're now taking a look back at the movie by sharing some incredible concept art.

We've now reached the end of our in-depth look at the sequel (up next is Captain America: Civil War) but we're going out with a bang by taking a look at some truly amazing artwork from the movie.

Along with some alternate posters for Comic-Con way back in 2014, we have a closer look at the weapons wielded by characters like Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow, the Iron Legion, the team's arrival at Hawkeye's home, and key moments from the Hulk's battle with The Hulkbuster.

To check out the full list, all you need to do is click either one of the buttons below. Then, stay tuned for our continued look back at these movies on the road to the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War

Alternate Comic-Con Posters

For every Avengers movie, Marvel Studios has released a series of posters which link up Age of Ultron was no exception and these alternate designs show the heroes battling Ultron's army of sentries!

The rest of the heroes get the spotlight here as we see the heroes trying to fend off the robots. Interestingly, it doesn't look like these posters actually connect with each other unlike the final designs.

Black Widow's Batons

Joss Whedon outfitted Black Widow with some very cool new weapons for this sequel and here we get a close up look at how her electrifying batons were brought to life via some very realistic concept art.

Avengers Tower

If you're heading to New York this year to do some sightseeing, don't bother keeping an eye out for Avengers Tower! The building was brought to life with CGI and here we get a much closer look at it.

Hulk Vs. Hulkbuster

These "fight gags" give us a much better idea of how some of the biggest moments in the battle between The Hulk and Iron Man's Hulkbuster were imagined and it would be great seeing more!

Hawkeye's Home

After being soundly defeated by Ultron, Earth's Mightiest Heroes need to get off the radar and that means heading to the remote home of Clint Barton. Here are some alternate takes on their arrival.

The Hulkbuster's Delivery System

Joss Whedon had to find a way to get Iron Man's Hulkbuster armour to him when Bruce Banner lost control and here we see some alternate takes on the delivery system used by the hero.

Captain America's Shield

One of the coolest additions made to the team by Joss Whedon was giving Captain America the ability to retrieve his shield with the use of magnets as opposed to hoping it always returns to him!

The Quinjet Interior

The Quinjet underwent some major changes once Tony Stark got his hands on it and here we get a better idea of how Marvel's concept artists went about imagining what that might look like.

The Iron Legion

Well, these are pretty cool! The Iron Legion - an idea which came out of the blue in the MCU - ultimately ended up looking like slimmer versions of Iron Man but these are very different.

Hawkeye's Arsenal

Hawkeye is just a regular dude who uses a bow and arrow to his advantage and you have to give Marvel credit for making that look so cool and giving him some major upgrades for this sequel.

Hawkeye pulled out some awesome trick arrows in Avengers: Age of Ultron and here we see a great selection of those along with some ideas as to what sort of advantage they can give the hero.

Caps magnetic gauntlet for he shield might actually be my favorite progression of a suit in these movies, it’s so simple yet fits the character and the action so well

@Ha1frican - I wish that the magnetic SHIELD aspect had carried over into future films.

Can you change the name of this concept art series? I nearly skipped Baltazar's Road to Infinity War Part 3 thinking it was another one of your concept articles

Do you think Shield supplies Hawkeye with arrows?, cause he must go through a lot.

I would love for them to release a Marvel book of each phase of concept art only.
