Avengers: Endgame featured the biggest final battle of any MCU movie, and it's yet to be topped by Marvel Studios. With nearly every hero assembling to battle Thanos' army, there was an awful lot going on, meaning we can move past its one big VFX/editing blunder, right?
As you'll likely recall, while Scott Lang was busy attempting to get his old van up and running, Giant-Man was almost immediately shown fighting a massive Leviathan in the background.
Fans have long speculated about a possible explanation for this, but a slight mistake behind the scenes is the most obvious answer (we're not banking on Scott being a Skrull, for example).
Talking to BBC Radio 1 about Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Paul Rudd shared his own explanation.
"There was a bit of a glitch in the system," the actor joked. "Well you know, when you see this new Ant-Man movie, you'll see there's a moment where there's more than one Ant-Man and maybe it's a similar kind of thing." For those of you who have seen the threequel, that's obviously a reference to the Probability Storm.
Marvel Studios has been known to make changes to visual effects when movies are playing in theaters, so we're definitely surprised this error has never been addressed. Clearly, it's not viewed as a big deal, and all these years later, it's a mistake we can surely all agree to forgive in what is arguably one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.
In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Directed by Peyton Reed, the threequel also stars Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.
