Feige Says Fans Should "Be Careful What They Wish For" When It Comes To AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Deaths

Based on everything we've heard about the dark turns Avengers: Infinity War is going to take, fans should probably prepare to bid farewell to at least one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the Marvel sequel.

Though this will no doubt be an emotional moment, many have been looking forward to an MCU installment with some real weight and stakes to it.

However, Kevin Feige has warned that they should be careful what they wish for.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - EW Spotlights All 23 Main Characters Across 15 Awesome New Covers

While chatting to EW, the Marvel Studios chief clarified that a character's story coming to an end doesn't necessarily mean they'll be killed off, but when asked if the people that do (potentially) die in Infinity War will actually stay dead (we're looking at you Agent Coulson), he responded:

"Yes. I mean, I could always list off the characters that we’ve killed in our movies that haven’t come back, but the big ones, which I know they’re looking at …? [Pause.] I would just say, yes. People need to be careful what they wish for."

Gulp!

What do you guys make of this? Do you think we'll see a purge of some of the original team members? If so, which ones? Drop us a comment in the usual place.

Do not need deaths to make an impact, at all. I also understand the major stakes with the next two Avengers movies, so I will not be surprised.

I just really hope they don't kill off Cap more than anyone right now. Seems to be the most popular choice, and would have such a huge impact for the audience...but Evans is still so young and Cap has become the face of the MCU. He should get resigned and continue on in the role.

RDJ has been my favorite for the most part, but unless Stark just retires from the game...he would be the most logical choice to bite the dust imo. Just from age, $$$, and starting the MCU, it would have the biggest impact from a story standpoint as well.

@Menks123 - agreed, its absolutely stupid to wait decades for these characters to come on screen only to have them killed off in a few movies to appease some internet trolls.

@Menks123 - I don't want them to kill off any of the major heroes because then we won't get to ever see them interact/fight with the FF and X-Men when they finally enter the MCU!

@JonC - Yeah. You can have stakes where characters are severely injured, friendships and alliances broken, and not have anyone die at all. The only reason I put Stark has more to do with things outside of the film like his huge contract and age.

It is inevitable with these 2 films and their enormous impact, for someone to die though...so I unfortunately expect it.

@Buckster10 - LOL same. I'm still pissed they killed of QS so fast when I loved ATJ's take in the short time we had of him more than FOX's take.

I want to see Marvel at it's best and all their characters interacting before major characters bite the dust.

@Menks123 - Yep. Cap and Tony should lead the charge against Cyclops and the X-Men in an inevitable X-Men Vs Avengers movie. I want Hulk Vs Wolverine (and Sabertooth rather than Windego). I want Iron Man Vs Dr. Doom. It would suck if Cap and Tony were gone by the time the X-Men and the FF arrive.

Tony needs to die.

@BlackBeltJones - Not till Avengers 4 is my guess if anything.

@MosquitoFarmer - Yea for sure. 4 is when it should happen.

It'd be funny if the one and only big death he is talking about was Happy Hogan.

@MosquitoFarmer - I'd cry.

List of those that die:
1. Cap
2. Iron Man
3. A Guardian (I think Drax or Gamora)
4. Hawkeye
5. Thor
6. Vision
7. One of Dr. Stranger's group

But I suppose I should wait on Josh's Top 10 list of MCU Characters likely to die in IW (I think he already did though)
