Based on everything we've heard about the dark turns Avengers: Infinity War is going to take, fans should probably prepare to bid farewell to at least one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the Marvel sequel.

Though this will no doubt be an emotional moment, many have been looking forward to an MCU installment with some real weight and stakes to it.

However, Kevin Feige has warned that they should be careful what they wish for.


AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - EW Spotlights All 23 Main Characters Across 15 Awesome New Covers

While chatting to EW, the Marvel Studios chief clarified that a character's story coming to an end doesn't necessarily mean they'll be killed off, but when asked if the people that do (potentially) die in Infinity War will actually stay dead (we're looking at you Agent Coulson), he responded:

"Yes. I mean, I could always list off the characters that we’ve killed in our movies that haven’t come back, but the big ones, which I know they’re looking at …? [Pause.] I would just say, yes. People need to be careful what they wish for."

Gulp!
