Captain America: Civil War will change everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while tearing apart relationships between heroes and friends. Of course, the introduction of new characters like Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) will help bring about some new friendships and alliances. When Thanos (Josh Brolin) makes his way toward Earth in Avengers: Infinity War, the relationship problems will seem like they will have to be put on hold, but in a recent interview, directors Joe and Anthony Russo say they're looking forward to exploring the relationships between the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
"Certainly Scarlet Witch and Vision. It’s a very compelling story," said Joe Russo. "Obviously, it’s one ripped from the comics that, for many years, there was some very interesting storytelling and characters. One character is searching for how to identify with humanity, another who is on a journey away from her humanity towards becoming a very powerful being." With their relationship in the comics now coming to life on screen and their connection being even stronger with the Mind Stone, it's good to know the Russo brothers will explore it even further in Infinity War.
With Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) going toe-to-toe in Civil War, the Russo Brothers took the heroes down a dark path and shattered their friendship. Director Anthony Russo spoke about how he is curious to see what would happen when the two heroes are forced to work together in Infinity War. "I would also say Captain America and Iron Man is central. Can those guys ever repair their relationship? What is their relationship ever going to be like moving forward from this?" Joe Russo then added by asking, "Should they repair it?"
