Josh Brolin plays a key role in two very big comic book movies coming out in the next few months. The actor will first battle Earth's Mightiest as Thanos in Marvel's
Avengers: Infinity War in April. He will then bring the time-traveling mutant Cable to life in Fox's
Deadpool 2. Both movies have tremendous buzz surrounding them, and at SXSW this weekend, Brolin was asked his thoughts on them.
"They're both really good," Brolin told Flickering Myth at the weekend event.
"That's what I know."
"I couldn't say anything about them before. But I've seen 30 minutes of [Avengers] Infinity War and I thought it was amazing," he said of the Marvel Studios blockbuster.
As for the highly anticipated
Deadpool sequel, he offered,
"I know is going to be very fun and funny, and fresh, because it's very different than the first Deadpool."
While we've seen Thanos appear in previous Marvel movies,
Infinity War will be the first time we really see the destruction he's capable of. Cable, meanwhile, will be making his first big screen appearance in
Deadpool 2. Asked what makes his characters different from other Marvel characters, Brolin teased:
"It's very different. That's all you need to know. It's very, very different."
Check out Brolin's comments in the video below, and get ready to see him invade Earth as Thanos in
Avengers: Infinity War on April 27. You can see him bring Cable to life in
Deadpool 2 on May 18.
A new behind the scenes video for
Avengers: Infinity War is
set to premiere on Monday courtesy of Entertainment Tonight. It will hopefully be followed by another trailer for the film that hopefully doesn't spoil too much of Thanos's destruction. Brolin's Cable was
recently introduced to us in a fairly lengthy
Deadpool 2 trailer back in February.
