It is no doubt that Avengers: Infinity War has left a massive footprint in the year of cinema so far, serving as a climax to 10 years of storytelling. But interestingly, in a film stuffed with heroes, it was its primary antagonist, Thanos, who stole the whole show. In fact, Josh Brolin's performance was so lauded that the purple villain has gained a massive following on sites like Reddit.
In an extreme stunt, Thanos' largest subreddit, /r/thanosdidnothingwrong, a community filled with 282,000 members, will be cut in half when July 9th comes along.
In an effort to balance the subreddit in honor of their deity, the moderators have approved the largest Reddit ban of all time BBC reported, with around 140,000 users being left in the dust.
Though some question if the extensive ban is allowed or not, the subreddit’s engineers are hard at work on a bot that would automatically and randomly remove half of the users when the time comes.
To the half that does bite the dust, I hope they remember you.
