Marvel Phase 4 Fan Poster Pits Galactus And The Silver Surfer Against the MCU's Biggest Heroes

Comic book fans are convinced that Galactus & the Silver Surfer are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase 4, and this incredible fan poster imagines what such a clash could look like on screen!

Phase 4 is one of Marvel Studios's most mysterious line-ups yet, and fans are as anxious as ever to learn whether heroes and villains from the worlds of the X-Men and Fantastic Four will appear.

Top of the list are Galactus and the Silver Surfer, two cosmic characters Kevin Feige has had his eye on for years now. He once even tried to barter with Twentieth Century Fox to get those two back in exchange for the Daredevil franchise, but the studio was sadly having none of it.

Giving us some idea of what we might see in Phase 4 is a piece of fan-art which shows members of The Avengers staring down Galactus and his herald, and it's a sight to behold.

Unfortunately, this could be a moment Marvel Studios chooses to hold off on until Phase 5.

Hope to see Galactus one day as the big bad, but I think that Marvel might have plans already for another (since they've probably been mapping out the MCU future long before the merger)

Wtf are Spiderman and Black Panther supposed to do against Galactus?

I really wish they would do a War Machine movie! They could adapt Demon in a Bottle but with Roadie instead, I mean he has lost a lot, his best friend, the use of his legs etc.

I'm very curious to know what ideas Feige has in mind for bringing Galactus (essentially a Giant Man) to the screen in a way that doesn't look ridiculous. They chickened out in FF2 and made him a cloud, but I have faith that Feige would take a more faithful approach.

@elgaz - They could potentially go the EGO route.. but its kinda been done

did that second FF movie go and make Galactus a gigantic swirling cloud(?) totally on its own, or did that at least have a precedence in the comics, too?
I know there can wind up being several different versions of the same basic character over years of comics lore.

@CaptCoulson - They totally made that up, he's always represented as a giant man. They thought it would look goofy on screen, so instead we got the goofy giant purple cloud.

Phase 4's Avengers film is likely going to be Secret Wars. Russo Brothers have teased that massively. Spider-man will get the black symbiote costume, we'll be introduced to the Fantastic Four and we'll have a threat that takes the heroes off Earth while still remaining fairly character driven/grounded.

Then Phase 5 can give us Captain Marvel 3: Secret Invasion, Spider-man: Sinister Six, Dark Reign, Thor: Siege, etc...

Though admittedly I am still partial to the idea of a villain being motivated by the time paradoxes and timelines altered/destroyed in Endgame - or at the very least a villain who mirrors the heroes, someone inspired by Tony Stark who is trying to alter time to bring Tony back. Would juxtapose nicely with Spider-man or the other heroes who spent time trying to fill the void when Tony was dead.

He should be used for what he is, a force of nature that balances the scales as described in the trial of Reed Richards story during Byrnes run on FF.
