Disney brought out the big guns at its CineEurope presentation today but the highlight for those in attendance was a first look at both Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel. Unfortunately, we don't have a description yet but considering the fact fifteen minutes of footage was shown from Aquaman and all we really know is that Atlanteans will ride on the back of great white sharks, don't expect much!

A featurette for Captain Marvel also debuted at the event and that reportedly featured someone saying, "Captain Marvel is about to take the lead in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe." That cast or crew member has not been named but it makes sense because we've heard that will be the case.

Several scenes from Ant-Man and The Wasp were also shown but we also have nothing on those as of yet. With any luck, some bits and pieces of information will start trickling online this evening but it's highly unlikely we'll get anything too in-depth at this stage. Here's hoping that the trailer for Captain Marvel is on the way, though, because it's about time we see something official from that movie.

I don't need the trailer, but I'd certainly love to hear what they've shown. Kind of disappointing that we won't get a Marvel presence at comic con this year, they always bring the heat when they do, but it'll give Feige a chance to hide his phase 4 slate and present a more kickass comic con next year, so I understand.

Damn.

I woulda preferred Black Panther, Spider-Man or Dr. Strange to be the face of the MCU going forward.

@LEVITIKUZ - He didn’t say lead. He said become the face of. And idk maybe Spiderman should the face of The MCU because he is the biggest and most popular character in Marvel history. But that probably is unlikely because Sony is still involved.

Whoever has to headline the MCU going forward, following Evans and Downey Jr is near-impossible task.
