Early word points to Spider-Man: Homecoming being a triumph, but while you might be expecting the reboot's success to increase Peter Parker's presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it doesn't sound as if we should expect the wall-crawler to have an extended role in Avengers: Infinity War next year.
During a recent chat with Fandango, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige tempered expectations for Spider-Man's involvement in the battle against Thanos and made it clear it's going to be a cameo.
"I think it might feel bigger a little bit because of Homecoming and because of what people know from it, but it's about on par with [Civil War]," he revealed, seemingly confirming that the hero is going to appear for only a few minutes. That's a shame, but it would be a little odd for Peter to be heading into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy, especially when he's such a grounded character.
Spidey's Civil War role was definitely satisfying, though, so this should still be fun to see! As for the chance of others from the hero's world showing up here, Feige added: "There's a pretty big crew already in those movies, but you might keep an eye out." That's intriguing and it will be fun now to see how many other cameos we get. As always, let us know your thoughts on this news down below.
