Avengers: Infinity War stars Danai Gurira and Elizabeth Olsen have heard the calls for the rumoured all-female team-up movie but that's where their knowledge and involvement ends.

Gurira (who reprises her role as Okoye from Black Panther) told press at today's Infinity War junket in Los Angeles that she's aware of the rumors, before Olsen (Scarlet Witch) interjected that she had also. But of the movie actually emerging, she said, "No one's told me about it, though."

"I know no details on that," Gurira added before expressing her excitement for an upcoming female-led MCU movie which is actually coming to fruition, "I was just thinking how excited I am about Brie Larson shooting Captain Marvel right now." A sentiment which her Infinity War co-star Karen Gillan shares, believing Captain Marvel may make way for the all-female team-up.

Gurira went on to state "The awesome thing that we see happening across many dimensions in our entertainment industry is we're seeing more women take the helm in various realms, and that is not only about time, but it'll make the world a better place, I think. So I'm looking forward to the future."

Olsen also joked about another currently non-existent film which many fans have been pushing for: a Scarlet Witch solo movie. Olsen revealed that she and co-star Paul Bettany have entertained the idea of an artsy "House of M" spinoff. "Paul [Bettany] and I joke about how much we'd like to do a House of M spin-off - a real indie version of it."

What do you think about the actress' comments? Would you like to see an all-female team-up movie come to frutition? How about a "House of M"-based Scarlet Witch solo movie?

I'm down with more female lead films like black widow and Captain marvel, but a whole team up film of just female characters seems redundant.

If it is natural to the story then that is fine. But doing it just for the sake of style is wonky to me. If there is a proper plot point to warrant it I have no problem. It wouldn’t be a problem either way if the cast was essentially all female, but if they want to tout it as a big all-female event film then their best be some good plot-driven reasoning to follow.

Hey if it works inbetween and trough all out the whole interconnected storyline of the MCU, with some logical and interesting reasoning up front and behind; then yeah go ahead. If it doesn't then i'd say wait for a better chance, don't do it for the simple reason of doing it, find a good reason of why the story would work inbetween the whole shared universe (which i won't be surprised if they do find one).

Then again, the whole multiverse's about to get rekt by Thanos so maybe they can use that and go crazy with the possibilities and impossibilities.

Now, who flying f***k f***kd up my girl Lizzie face like that? who hurt that person?

Come on Marvel give the Scarlet Witch a solo movie. Agatha Harkness, Emerald Warlock, nexus being, High Evolutionary, so much to explore. It could be amazing.

Avengers issue 83 debuted The Liberators: Valkyrie, Widow, Wasp, Witch, and Medusa fighting against Klaw. In the end Valkyrie turned out to be Enchantress in disguise. It's a great story to base a movie on, especially if it can erase that terrible Valkyrie from Ragnarok.

@rabid - I hope you're kidding. Valkyrie was one of the best characters in Ragnarok.
