Identity Of Mystery Alien Villain In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Promo Art Has Seemingly Been Confirmed

A couple of days ago, some new Avengers: Infinity War promo art surfaced revealing a mystery bad guy who will be joining Thanos in the highly anticipated Marvel movie. Speculation started running rampant in regards to who that might be, with some fans theorising it could be Supergiant, a member of Thanos' Black Order who wasn't displayed at last year's Comic-Con with the rest of the group.

Well, as CBM's own Mark Cassidy mentioned on Sunday, this mystery character is, in fact, the leader of Thanos' Outriders. In the comic books, the Outriders are genetically engineered parasite-assassins that serve the Mad Titan Thanos and this hulking brute is clearly going to be in charge of them when they attack Wakanda (unless there are variations and some are larger than others which is just as likely).

We'll have to wait and see what exactly this character gets up to in the movie but it's good to have at least some clarification in regards to his identity. What do you guys think? Are you excited to check out Avengers: Infinity War? Let us know your thoughts on all that in the comments section down below.

I have no idea who the outriders are. Do they show up in infinity or something? I haven’t made it that far.

@BloodyBed - yes, they're basically just Thanos's genetically engineered army of aliens.

Epic battle with the Hulk confirmed...hopefully. Actually I hope all these villains are so badass it takes several heroes to defeat each one.

Why not send outriders into battle with like, um ... GUNS maybe??? I found the flaw in Thanos' plan!!!

@SecretWarrior - It didn’t help the Chitauri...

Honestly though, the idea that nobody likes ranged weapons in comic book fights (beyond, say Hawkeye’s primitive kind) is just one of those tropes. Apparently, once beings get super enough, there is no projectile or energy weapon that does the job well enough. Let’s just get to the punching and mele weapons.

@Chewtoy - Point well taken. Hulkbuster DID have lasers but they didn't do anything very relevant. But Wakanda is basically humans fighting against aliens so IMHO I would want my aliens armed just in case. Unless the outriders are a distraction ... Hmmm 🤔

@SecretWarrior - as Okoye would say, so primitive
